They've never needed or cared about it. That's why it's at where it is now.

And in all honesty, it needs another hiatus for awhile again, before any sort of revival; the right kind or not.
And you need to not have it be near the Abrams and Kurtzmans because those kind of hacks will kill the things you love.

He probably knows about Captain Kirk and Spock. They can have nuSpock travel forward in time for a Discovery crossover and kill Kirk again in an embarrassing manner.
You kid, but you're giving them ideas.

For season 2 of Picard, what are some things Jay knows about that they haven't done in nuTrek yet? Q? Picard facepalming? Worf getting told no over and over? Is that enough content for a full season?
...Coruscant? Wait, wrong franchise!
Does Jay know about Worf's purple space bazooka?

They can bring the Rock back but this time make him a major character. Sure it was voyager but would kurtzmann care?
Please, this is the franchise of reused characters all the time. Just look at the Kurtwood Smith meme I posted early. Or Jeffrey Combs!

Reusing the Rock would be the least problematic thing. They should reveal him to be Worf's son Alexander who totally chad-ed out finally.

Just double down on this premise and make The Rock President of the Federation like Kurtwood's character before him and have him be Alexander at the same time.

Oh man... and given both were in Wrestling, they would totally make him a Trump allegory wouldn't they? "Make the Fed great again!"

I'm really kinda bummed Picard season 2 won't do an Coronavirus analogue. The idea of a galaxy wide pandemic hitting the Federation is actually an interesting idea. Especially since the Federation appears to be the unopposed top dog in the Alpha & Beta quadrants right now.

Yeah, I'm sure the current crop of writers would turn it into "don't be racist against China!", but the fundamental idea of a good story is there.

Everybody overreacts to the seasonal bug out of the Delta Quadrant could be a funny Season 6 DS9 episode or similarly late Voyager
Kind of already did that, and it was lame in true early Voyager fashion.

I hate how that article is worded. They do know Voyager is like 20 years old and the fact it has any kind of relation is pure coincidence, right?

Maybe next time we can get something a little more entertaining, like the Naked Now virus:

Ok, that virus was arguably more dangerous, but Data got his cyberdick wet.

They seemed to be teasing the return of Denise Crosby in STP. I for one am aupremely disappointed that Empress Sela didn't head the fleet that was going to sterlize the planet full of synths that were literally going to kill fucking everybody and everything in the universe

Exactly! She was closest to a nemesis that Data had other than Lore.
