Ah yes, when I think of Starfleet, I think of Iwo Jima.

Yeah, there's no open statement but I think they let her get more obese just to make a point, even though Starfleet requires (or used to) people to be in shape for the job.

The literal point of the Starfleet pajamas is to show off how in shape everyone in the future is. I think Jonathan Frakes even said in an interview in the late 80s/early 90s how those uniforms serve as motivation to stay in shape because you can see everything. And iirc it was a mandate from Roddenberry himself.

From what I understand, Kira's character on DS9 was supposed to be Ro Laren but the actress, I can't remember her name and I'm too lazy to look it up right now because dinner, didn't want to commit to the series so they rewrote the role.
Michelle Forbes

I won't deny Nana Vistor is attractive, but like Chuck pointed out, half of the damn alpha quadrant wanted her. Is her ass that spectacular? Terry I thought was always way more attractive and not to mention Chase (Rom's wife).

She just looks good, what can I say?

Terry IS attractive as fuck but not really in uniform. Unless it's that TOS uniform she wore in Trials and Tribb-ulations. God, she has great legs. And everything else. I think she was attractive as fuck with the shorter hair in the Mirror universe episodes too.

This one moment by nog - who used to be ILLITERATE - hit me harder in feels.exe than anything I've ever seen from Discovery.

That boy WORKED for what he got, dammit.
I've seen that scene a couple times... still I get goosebumps.
That kid is a great actor and he did a great job doing the Ferengi mannerisms and the emotion in his voice and mimic (through an inch of rubber no less!) is absolutely amazing, every time I see it. Star Trek is so good when it's good, you can almost not fathom (literally) how deep it can go into the other extreme.

Thank god CBS can't take away the old shows from us.

The thing about Nog is that he was still a victim of stereotypes, even in the 24th Century. Not only he had to work hard, he had to prove he wasn't like other Ferengis.

That a person wasn't admitted in a school because they were told "your people/gender aren't good enough for this" was not uncommon in human history, and yet, DS9 didn't need to preach about how racism or sexism was wrong: we just can tell.

And, even if you didn't know racism was a thing, you still learned the lesson.

A thing I like about ST is that people are still very flawed. There are many stories of people still being assholes.

It was originally marketed as being a prime universe show, like ENT, TOS, TNG, etc. Not JJverse garbage. There was a huge controversy before STD aired about it.
Oh, I didn't hear that was a thing, i thought maybe Discovery took place in Mirrorverse.

I don't even want to imagine an sjw Terran Empire. Spock shit it up enough with his reforms, causing humanity to become a slave race. Can you imagine if troons were in charge?

I don't know honestly, I just know that it would somehow be worse. Humanity would be a slave race but with mandatory pink hair.

Unfortunately I think it's supposed to be emulating this painting of the French Revolution:

Y'know, the one that's been hijacked by SJWs and traced over and over and over with moms, SJWs, black people, etc.

That is a really famous painting and I did not get Liberty Leading the People (the name of the painting) vibes from that photo at fucking all.

Also I've thankfully not seen it photoshopped into irrelevance. I thank not having social media for this.

Ezri is bae... fight me!

That image is terrible because it makes them look like they're out to conquer other planets and I'm sure all these people are against colonialism. Starfleet and the Federation has banners, not flags, for a reason.

Meh, maybe it's just me, then. I'm used to seeing pictures of that painting and the "Rosie the Riveter" one being manipulated by the left, BLM, feminists, etc.

Didn't they try to walk back what "prime universe" even meant in the first place?

Yea, some stupid bullshit that didn't make sense.

I've seen a ton of the Rosie the Riviter ones.
