...and fatter in Season 3.
Maybe it's a subtle homage to Scotty

Not counting old people, nobody in Star Trek is fat, that I remember. For starters, they don't really have a way to be fat as most junk food doesn't exist and their normal food is replicated to be healthy. And I'm sure any thyroid problem can be solved in one single medical appointment.

We're supposed to believe that humanity got rid of most diseases, including something as common as the flu and migraines, but they're ok with obesity? They've made clear how aware they are of the bad effects of drugs and alcohol, why would they be ok with the effects of being overweight?

Also, getting pregnant is not an excuse. TNG just gave Gates McFadden a coat to cover her belly and she didn't became obese. You can be pregnant and not gain a ton of weight.

But he had no way of no way of knowing that at the time.

EDIT: also what helped Rom was seeing his son chase after his dreams so he joined the Bajoran military to help them and that's when his life turned around.

Bitch, if you hadn't posted that next to the screenshot I would have assumed it was your party outfit. What the fuck is with this influx of new "fans" who think cosplay is buying clothes you can wear every fucking day instead of, say, an attempt to actually look like something recognizable from the fucking franchise it's set in?
If I wanted to do a Star Trek cosplay I'd do something unique and fantastic, like a Mirror Universe Terran Empire Section 31 uniform that looks like an even more gloriously stylish futuristic Hugo Boss design.

Most of "new fans" that join fandoms are women who're there for the attention and want to whore the franchise up. Their favorite characters are always the women, the less clothes they use, the better.

Started S6 of DS9, its great to see Nog as part of Sisko's crew, he really helps round out the group. I'm on E2 and it killed me when a Jem'Hadar lifted him 2 feet off the ground to stand him up.

Also watched up to the end of The Menagerie of TOS. Its been fun so far, lots of conical breasts. I want to marry young Janice Rand.
