I fucking loved Lwaxana. She was a damn fun character and the episodes with her were almost never boring. Made you wonder how she raised someone as boring as Deanna.
I also loved her silent manservant Homn who only uttered a single line in the whole series. "Thank you for the drinks."

ah damn now you made me notice that we never got Q meeting lwaxana, especially ganging up on picard.
now, I haven't read it myself, but there is a book where they meet

apparently it's a fun book, I've seen people recommend it

Up the Long Ladder - Dogshit episode about Irish stereotypes and "muh body, muh choice". This was the same writer as "Measure of a Man"‽

This was an O'Brien torture episode irl. Imagine being Irish and having to explain this embarrassing toorah loorah shit to your kids. Set phasers to cringe.

The Outrageous Okona
- This episode makes me want to put my fist through the TV screen. Data learning to be "funny" from Joe Piscopo is notorious, but the secondary plot about the Gary Stu character Okona is infuriating.

I'd forgotten about this asshole, who looked exactly like a Han Solo ripoff from an FMV game circa 1995, but also a date rapist:

At least Teri Hatcher was in it, TNG knew how to cast babes

Come to think of it, in that DS9 episode where all of the crews fantasies were coming to life and Obrien got stuck with Rumple Stiltzkin, they originally wanted it to be a leprechaun but Colm Meaney absolutely refused.

Ironically, Ezri's actress spends a lot more time on the convention circuit than Jadzia's. I also found out that the girl who played Molly, O'Brien's and Keiko's daughter, is also a staple of fan conventions. She used to pair with the guy who played Nog a lot.
Molly has also shown up on the "7th Rule" - the podcast Jake and Nog do about the show. (Especially since Aaron has left us.)

I always liked how she made picard uncomfortable, who was always a bit to self-assured. however after learning she was roddenberry's wife and going all the way back to TOS I had much more respect for her.

also, fun fact: she's the computer in every series.
Full respect and love to Majel Barrett. Love that sexy computer voice - and Nurse Chapel was great on TOS. Not always a fan of Lwaxana, but still love her actress. RIP

That episode is extra painful because I LOVE the Rocketeer as a movie - and him finally getting to be in a Star Trek episode should be a dream come true.

I think they really wanted him to be TNG's Harry Mudd but man that execution is cringe. (at least he got to pretend bone terry hatcher)

Majel as Federation computer was always great and it's one reason I'm kinda happy we're never getting any more TNG era stuff, they'd have to recast her and hearing another voice coming from a Federation computer would be so fucking wrong.

Of course being a DS9 nerd I need to give props to Judi M. Durand, the Cardassian computer voice, the voice of DS9. I always like how it actually sounded Cardassian, it was less friendly, more oppressive in tone than the Federation computer. And so much less cooperative!

Also I looked up Hana Hatae today...
I feel old, I feel gross too.

I thought Okona was cool, was a welcome departure from how super serious the Enterprise crew took themselves.

And I didn't mind the Han Solo knock off.

Hey I liked Okona! You have any idea how little there was for female viewers? It was either this guy, Riker, or Q.
Hah! As if you expect us to believe there are girls on the internet. (much less on kiwifarms)

Next you'll tell me North Dakota exists.

Agree. Okona was cool and the episode was good as a comic relief during the season. Not everything needs to be Romulans or Borgs.

I actually laughed when one of the leaders shows her pregnant daughter and accuses Okona of being the father and wanted her to marry him... then we discovered who the real father was. Turns out, youngsters are stupid no matter what's the planet or society.

I hope so, the cover looks like it's a chuck tingle book.
but I'm glad too see I'm not the first one with the idea. great minds and such...

What if the reason we never see Q and Lwaxana together is because they're the same person?

"top ten anime betrayals"

felt like a classic story just transplanted into TNG

also prime teri hatcher.

I'm guessing this was the prelude to Colm Meany telling them to fuck off on DS9 when they floated the idea of having a leprechaun show up on the station.

I'm not going to give you a clock... (Mostly because I am almost positive that somebody has said this before in this thread) but I literally said the same damn thing on this very page. You literally could have just scrolled up a few posts. -_-
