Where is that picture form?
It's debatable...

Bill Shatner was 63 when he starred in Generations, and it was already stretching credulity and his girdle to get him to do basic action scenes.
It wasn't long ago that Patrick was the internet's favorite Captain. The Captain who didn't lose his marbles (Avery) or commit war crimes (Mulgrew) or get fat. Fans were posting memes of Patrick standing in the middle with the caption, "Look like only one Enterprise came with a gym."And yet that man has somehow aged more gracefully then patrick.
Watching him try to talk Rush down from the edge is a reminder of why I stopped paying attention to politics.Wasn't he trying to help the Spce Force to have better ranks while Levar Burton and Number 1 where reeeeeeeing about it?
Counter-argument:I'm trying to rewatch DS9 for the first time since I was a kid and knowing about all the back stage stuff and Avery Brooks being an asshole to everyone has kind of poisoned it from the get go.
I actually never bothered to watch it, but I suppose that speaks for itself.look how that turned out
DS9 is the best series next to TOS, which is what you should have started with.Just got into Star Trek a few months ago from a request by a friend, and I’m starting at TNG and loving it. Just starting season 6, once I finish season 7 are the later series worth watching? Not experienced enough to know when it starts to become nu-trek. Also unsure if I should go back and watch the original series too.
Well, your outside reflects what's within and Stewart has become nuts. William Shatner is more easygoing and doesn't give a damn. Wasn't he trying to help the Spce Force to have better ranks while Levar Burton and Number 1 where reeeeeeeing about it?
Really goes to show that Shanter is one the few non spergs form the franchise.Watching him try to talk Rush down from the edge is a reminder of why I stopped paying attention to politics.
The culture war has stomped such a mudhole into any kind of debate. All we're left with is perpetual anger.

You're lucky. At least when I watch TNG I forget that the movies and the Picard show exist.
Sure, you can watch TOS (it's a bit rough but it's worth it), Deep Space 9, Voyager and Enterprise.Just got into Star Trek a few months ago from a request by a friend, and I’m starting at TNG and loving it. I suppose as a TOS fag I do get a bit of smug satisfaction from Picard being dethroned from the Kirk vs Picard debate (which in my opinion was always one-sided nonsense anyway, TNG fans have always been really touchy). It wasn't long ago that Patrick was the internet's favorite Captain. Give TOS a shot. I screened most of it on movienight a few months back and I was surprised at how much even the younger people liked it. It seems to be a boomer thing to treat TOS like its hokey and goofy; its really not any dumber than TNG was capable of being; just more colorful and oldschool.Just got into Star Trek a few months ago from a request by a friend, and I’m starting at TNG and loving it. I know, but in the early episodes (and possibly later on) he gives off the vibe that at any moment he could snap and start shooting up the station. I think the cast of DS9 will take me a while to get back into, I mostly remember Garak so it was a surprise to find out that he's only in 40 or so episodes.
Archer is kind of an asshole. Sisko has anger management problems, and struggles with them.Ben Sisko is kind of an asshole tho, it's part of his charm
