Star Vs. The Forces of Evil - Gonna get a little REE, gonna get a little SJW

The only really noteworthy piece of merch they made was a physical version of the Book of Spells. The only other things were a series of Funko Pops and some shitty Hot Topic T-Shirts.

As for the show as a whole, it was eh. I think the show worked much better when it was about Star trying to fit in on Earth and learning how to use her powers, while having random adventures with Marco and his classmates. Once they moved away from Earth and started focusing on Star's homeworld and family history, it fell apart because it just wasn't that interesting.

Looking forward, I don't think the show will have much of a legacy beyond "Hey, I remember that being on when I was a kid!" Hell, it barely feels like anyone cares now. I only saw like one article online about the show ending. In the end, it was a show with some fun characters, a handful of good episodes, and not much else.

I don't think any western kids show really benefits from widening the scope tbh

The only characters I even remotely liked or cared about on this damn thing were Ludo and Toffee,
It’s funny how the monster characters (Ludo, Toffee, Rasticore, Yvgeny, Dennis, etc.) were way more interesting than the human / Mewman characters and yet the show ignored the former in favour of the latter all while claiming to be a narrative about “monster oppression”. It’s bizarre.

Ludo being smug and/or snug was the best part of the show.
