Starfield - Bethesda's new space IP: will probably be full of fun and easily trackable bugs

How do you think Starfield will turn out?

still surprised i haven't seen any dedicated people go through the code to find out how fucked the game is. i know its been less than a week but still, its a game from a subsidiary of one of the largest companies on the planet, even the breadtube and lefty faggots have enough reason to "investigate" why this goyslop was so dogshit.
Why didn't they fly to Texas and offer Someguy2000 like 10k to write a Firefly esque space bounty hunter questline?
he's a gamer meaning he doesn't fit with the company culture at bethesda, plus emil would get jealous

Same reason why Todd went out of his way to make sure Vegas and West Coast are nuked to shit in the TV show: Because he's still jealous the older games wipe the floor with his and resents anything related to NV, including the modders
Oh and it would indeed make Emil jealous. At the end of the day, the only reason they're going with bounty hunting is because it's easy to make radiant quests with them: Random NPC spawns on planet X, kill or capture NPC, go back to the bounty HQ for your reward. Just a more involved KILL LOOT RETURN gameplay loop that Bethesda is known for. It's actually better to not give any of these NPCs any involved stories or backgrounds as it would just be cringy dogshit, like the rest of Starfield's writing.
I haven't watched the trailer for the DLC yet and frankly I don't even care. I am not going to play this game, I doubt I will even remember it exists by the time it comes out. If there is anything substantial in it, I am sure I will hear it by the word of mouth for a few days after it comes out, before people lose interest again, but we know that won't happen. Whatever the DLC releases with, it will just be used to mock the game some more, there is genuinely nothing you can do with the gameplay base of Starfield other than generic combat radiant quests. Nothing short of making a DLC that will actually re-write the entire setting and story for subsequent New Game Plus playthrus so that we can have something interesting with the whole alternative universe angle and make use of that mechanic for more than just turning Sarah into a potted plant just doesn't matter, and even if something like that is made people will just shit on Bethesda for not including it with the game(it will be Broken Steel 2.0 lmao)

I paid so little attention to Starfield that I didn't even noticed the CK was out until I check Steam's "New Releases." Unrelated but a few other games were ported to Steam, neat. Two mods of the month are of course Pride fuckery on Nexus. Playerbase only got a slight boost but I suspect that once mods get up to speed (if they can) there might be some form of resurgence.

Apparently Todd Howard did an interview with MrMattyPlays. I haven't watched it yet, but I guess he's confirmed that there will be a second expansion after Shattered Space and apparently their plan is to have a yearly expansion because they regret that they ended support for Skyrim and Fallout 4 so early.

Todd Howard does realise he’s Todd Howard doesn’t he? He could resurrect support for Skyrim and Fallout 4 if he wanted.

In fact he’d be printing money if he did.

I think the fear at this point would be that people would get pissed they're not working on Fallout 5 or Elder Scrolls VI if they suddenly started releasing expansions a decade later.

Also what could they even add to Skyrim at this point that mods haven't?

Yeah, they'd make money, but I could see Todd and whoever else thinking it wouldn't be enough to justify the potential reputation hit to the IPs.

Oh yeah, I also remember when 343i said they had a 10-year plan for Halo Infinite.

In classic Bethesda fashion, it seems to have been rushed so you have incidents like this happening lol
They forgot to record the line? LMAO

Honestly, I think the fact it got to season 5 was pretty amazing considering 343i couldn't even keep their stories connected through all their single player campaigns.

I think I caught Todd in a sweet little lie.

In the interview he claims that it wasn't their intention for people to think they were going to sell the Bounty Hunter faction piece by piece, and that that original idea was to just sell the weapons/clothing in the pack but thought it'd be better to include a quest.

The problem is, and someone can correct me if I'm wrong, that during the showcase where they revealed the update they specifically said that future Tracker missions would be sold on Creation Club.

So like...which is it Todd? I won't even get into how I'm pretty sure most of the clothing in the Tracker mission are just recolors of stuff in the game so it's not really worth spending money on anyways...

Wait, so now they're SELLING shitty little radiant quests that you can do in less than an hour easily separately? One by one?
Bethesda cattle will actually fall for it, but holy shit. First Horse Armor and now this. Patrician really was right, "This is the game you deserve"

lol, low attention span or just a seething Bethesda fanboy? His opinions are right btw, the longer his videos are the better they are too
His Starfield video alone is pure kino and about the best single takedown anyone could ever, and will ever make of this piece of shit game. I haven't seen a single Bethesda fanboy that even tried to tackle a few of his points about the game, let alone all of them. Because they know he's right.

Yes, welcome to the fucking discussion that's been ongoing for a week 7 years now.
Bethesda released some pretty good quest focused expansions in their time, like Point Lookout/Pitt for Fallout 3, Far Harbor for Fallout 4, both Morrowind expansion sets and Shivering Isles for Oblivion. It's not like they can't create something decent, but seeing them reduced to this state where they're releasing these shitty little individual KILL LOOT RETURN quests as paid DLC? I think that says more about how Fallout 5 and TES6 will look than anything else. Even Fallout 4 had decent little short quest DLC like Automatron and the Vault one, even Operation Anchorage in Fallout 3 that's just a short little COD campaign with OP loot is better than this.

Estimates are Starfield cost around 250 million to make and probably well over 300 million with marketing costs and sold poorly.

I have to imagine Bethesda is under tremendous pressure for Microsoft to start recouping some of that money hence selling radiant quests individually.

GigaChad dunks on long form retard and Tranny Jannie froths and malds about New Vegas.
Show me on the game box where Cyrus has ever cried about New Vegas.

Not reading all this slop retard.
Long form video essay trash will always be long form video essay trash. It’s always idiotic leftoid drivel like the freak who tried to take down Wendigoon or creepy weirdo freaks who Alog Bethesda instead of just playing games they like.

All are no talent air wasters who need to be euthanized.

Now proceed to froth and mald and cry like the Fallout thread faggots to get me thread banned so you don’t have to get made fun of for being stupid anymore.
