If they do then I hope it would finally drive someone to make an open source Creation Kit. xEdit can do everything the CK does outside of facegen stuff and probably a few others, but it has no real UI and I doubt anyone wants to do cell editing by moving the coordinates of references. I really wish the Bethesda modders would realize how important open source alternatives are for them, but seeing the dismissal of OpenMW by the majority of Morrowind modders because of no MWSE support doesn't bring me much hope.
it will be limited to what MS allows for xbox. while they don't seem to be as paranoid as sony someone is gonna crowbar open their walled console garden, there's a reason developer mode doesn't let you play retail while active.
rest depends on much effort the community wants to spend on PC mods, but given the state of modders these days (especially bethesda games) I wouldn't be surprised if it simply gets ignored.
It's kinda cute how often I'm called a shill who likes too many games because they're from developers or publishers that the "hardcores" hate, but any time I point out that New Vegas had an awful launch? Point out that New Vegas was built on Bethesdas work and engine? Then suddenly I'm the asshole who "doesn't like anything"
I like New Vegas, but holy shit it is not the holy grail a lot of you people make it out to be.
you're either a shill or retarded, otherwise your constant butthurt about cp2077 and nms while giving other games a pass is stupid or on purpose. take your pick.
I don't even understand what the IT WAS SHIT AT LAUNCH YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO LIKE A THIRTEEN YEAR OLD GAME REEEE argument is supposed to be. people can't like a game for played the fixed version years later? buggy games are always shit and never improve? different people can't have different opinions about a game? what the fuck is it?
or is it supposed to be some meta commentary about the industry and people paying - or even paying, the horror - buggy games at launch, when most of them can be played for free?
and I sincerely hope it's not some retarded "stop liking what I don't like (as much)"...
One - it got me back to Freelancer. Nothing beats exploration in that game imo. Two - and this is the most horrifying thing - it made me seriously consider Star Citizen as a viable alternative to get my space exploration fix.
there's elite dangerous if you haven't played it yet, so everything's new
(devs suck tho and it's basically dead. also pseudo-mmo). NMS just had an update and currently running another expedition (basically event with it's own storyline). x: rebirth while being shunned by "real" x fans is also quite playable these days and probably the closest to freelancer in terms of scope. expect some jank tho.
