It actually made me MATI that they wasted the setting they had for 76 the way they did. Had 76 been released as a story game, like Fallout 4 but set in post apocalyptic WV, it'd have sold even better than FO4. WV already feels post apocalyptic in a lot of spots, it's a fucking amazing area to have as a setting for a survival game, and it would have been fresh. But Bethesda turned it into a trannyfest online pile of shit, and that's when I knew to never trust Todd again.

The bread is automatic triangulation on an n-gon, most likely made from a curve that they extruded down. The meat is a circle with what looks like manual sculpting around the edges that also got automatically triangulated, no decimation on any of the sculpts so its super high density. The lettuce looks like a displacement map applied to a subdivided plane. I'm iffy on it because it seems to have non uniform quads, but at the same time its got clean triangulation, so its probably a super light planar dissolve. The only thing that actually looks correct is the block of cheese at the bottom, which looks like just a scaled cube. They also beveled the bread with an insane bevel resolution for some reason, but didn't model the actual holes in the bread, so I assume this is literally babies first 3d model.

Here is a bread slice I made from a curve using a clip n-gon triangulate method. Looks familiar, but the Starfield one used a stupidly high resolution curve, look at the verts around the outer edge on mine with default settings vs the Starfield one.


Here is my sandwich, made in like 5 minutes. I didn't sculpt the meat since I suck at sculpting and that detail could be added in a material, no optimizations done. Beveling the bread adds 1440 tris per bread slice, and all that detail is pointless since you can add it in a normal map.

I could probably finish this with baked normal maps and proper optimization, but I'm not feeling autistic enough to do it for a sandwich.

NGL I'm actually refusing to play BG3 due to the constant fellatio it's getting. I'm sure it's great but I personally don't like the D&D setting they're using.....

Instead Pathfinder Kingmaker and Wrath of the Righteous are my D&D like RPGs


As for Starfield, I like it. Yeah it took a solid 2-3 hours to get going but once I got the hang of it I'm really enjoying it. I also helpfully level scummed myself to lvl 51 in an hour or so to get most everything I want unlocked on the skill tree.

Speaking of I like how a skill point opens the sub section but you actually have to USE the skill in some way to get the rest. Note that you can't be a raging dickhead mass murderer in Starfield unlike some other RPGs with companions or they'll hate you.

Also, I skipped Fallout 4 and New Vegas so I hadn't played a new Bethesda RPG since Skyrim and New Vegas.

10/10? No but I doubt Bethesda can make a 10/10 with the way they make games since the 1990s.

For me it's a solid 8.5/10 and I can't wait for official mod tools and seeing what DLC they come up with. Hopefully it's Skyrim or Fallout 3 tier dlc and not the meh (apart from Far Harbour) dlc we got for Fallout 4.

So, TL;DR it's a Bethesda RPG BUT IN SPACE. No alien cheeks to clap sadly (maybe in dlc or the sequel) but overall I'm having fun. I'll do all faction stories, random stuff, main story up till the last mission, save, then maybe do NG+.

Speaking of alien cheeks, Mass Effect 4 is allegedly due next winter so...... let's see

In days worth of playing I've encountered perhaps 6 characters of fag/gender which is significantly less than what anyone who goes outside actually sees IRL. I've experienced maybe three minor bugs, but nothing egregious like with Skyrim before the unofficial patch was released.
You're really doing yourself a disservice by not enjoying one of the best games to ever be released. If you're a "principled" autist wait until there's a crack (if there's not one already, haven't looked). Seriously, you're a massive spergy crybaby if you don't at least give it a fair chance. This whole festival of contrarian spergs pissing and shidding and crying is another example of the right acting like the ever triggered left.
If you can't handle being asked your pronouns one time, use the mod that removes that oh so upsetting option and just shoot the faggot NPCs in the face.

its actually spread out and quite good environmental story telling , the first responder's legit made me sad before they added all that crap
that fault could have still been active, a great questline would have been realising there was a plague , could have been actual roadesque raiders, actual active enclave and the slow realisation that because its a prequel, none of this survives
Make it a story about how so many of those vaults in fallout are empty

I actually enjoy this game, but I enjoyed fallout 4 settlement building so feel free to disregard my opinion. The story is actually shit but as I said in an earlier post in this thread I liked that the main plot is different from the usual "chosen one" bullshit. You aren't special at all.

I am currently doing a fifth new game plus and actually replaying the main story this time. It actually contains way more than 25 unique starborn dialogue options (starborn being the ng+ stuff). There are some for the main quest, much fewer for faction quests, and every constellation party member has them when you talk to them about shit. Presumably for their quests too.

My biggest complaint is that replaying the main story the whole way through instead of ng+'s special main story lets you skip a lot of shit EXCEPT the cancerous bug mission that involves you swapping between two different realities and is the most tedious shit of all time.

Also something hilarious happens if you're doing the full story again that doesn't in the NG+ one if you side with the Hunter. He sends you to kill his old man alternate self just because he finds the idea of other hims distasteful. I love this old man.

I have been taking along a new constellation companion on every new game run to explore their dialogue and relationship system (the three I have tested so far are all complete SHIT) because I am a retarded 100%er for games like this. The cringe black man (barret? barrett? I dont remember how you spell his name, you meet him in the intro) story and personal quest that 99% of the people playing here will never see and that I wish I hadn't contains the following:

A gay but not actually bisexual neil degrasse ripoff for a character. He loves to tell you about his dead husband AND SCIENCE ISNT SCIENCE WACKY BROS?
Meets an alternate version of himself, who also talks about his fag marriage is still going great and they "had" a daughter???
Will still marry you if you're playing as a chick (did not confirm this personally but watched a video) and you can talk about how you want to make it a 'throuple' whatever the fuck that is, and tell the robot officiating the marriage if you want to be called his husband/whatever despite being a woman.

Quite possibly the shittiest character of the three I've run around with. If you don't care about spoilers I can tell you more stuff that has to do with the story.
