Essentially, even refreshing a tab when I have another tab open, logged in, and with "Stay logged in" selected won't log me in in the second tab. So far, I've been having to re-log-in in every thread I want to visit.

Same here. Every time I click off Kiwifarms, I have to re-log back in. Weirdly enough, The main page log-in screen isn't working. I have to click on another board/area & log in after it pops up.

To add onto this issue, when I check "stay logged in", it often unchecks itself just after I click the "log in" button. I had to really watch it this time to make sure it took.

I'm not the only one? I've noticed the following, since I use email thread updates:
  • I can't log in from the page I land on. Generally, I have to click the first page of the thread, log in there, then go to first unread.
  • If I click on an email while logged in on any page, I get logged out.
  • "Stay logged in" is always unchecked.

I think it had to do with when KF went down And Null had to put everything back together.

i dont have to cehck stay loged in to be loged in, which is a huge improvment. but yeah its not working on the main page

This happened to me at least once back when we're still in France

Do you have massively paranoid settings that disable cookies? Because I think it's a cookie that keeps you logged in.

Logout issues are happening because of our precarious situation with servers. I'm working on stabilizing it. It should hopefully be better now since I removed the ability to access http:// or www. versions of the URL. You can potentially have four sessions between http://, http://www, https://, and https://www. Cookies stick to each one specifically.

AnOminous, I've <strike>specifically disabled</strike> cookies (and that didn't fix it, so I changed it back to the setting it had before the server switch). Null, it seems to be working now, thanks. :)

EDIT: I meant to say that I enabled all cookies (which was a bad idea, I know). The settings pre-server switch are working.

I meant that disabling cookies might have been the problem. It's a cookie that keeps you logged in. Don't do that, or if you do do that as a general policy (not a bad idea), allow cookies for this site.
