It was inevitable that Valve would want a bite out of the twitch pie.
Important things to note
1. broadcasting only occurs if there's a watcher, and automatically ends when the user quits
2. by default it's set to "friends can request to watch your games" and the feature can be turned on to the public or turned off entirely.
3. You need to have bought something on Steam to use it.
4. Only three browsers are supported right now. Steam's own client, Google Chrome, and Safari.
5. You cannot save broadcasts at the moment. It's unknown if Valve will implement a feature to let you save them on their servers.
