For those that think it's hot garbage and yearn for your old list based Library, I offer salvation.

Either do this:
steam://open/minigameslist
or
-no-browser +open steam://open/minigameslist

Or fuck about with the files like this:

For fucks sake, the list view to the left is still there.

It's a big change and I don't like change.

I actually haven't messed around with it enough to get an honest opinion. I rarely used the library as the library. Otherwise it keeps the gaming news shit out of my library while leaving developer updates and I'm taking that as a positive that they might remove gaming journalism from the community hub entirely. Fuck that garbage, always getting in the way of me looking up changelogs and shit.

Oh don’t worry they removed the recent news tab. And now rock paper shotgun is fucking bankrupt.

Have you played... this game you’ve already played?

Oh yeah also plenty of heated gamer rage responding to this tweet.
It’s not that bad you guys. They act like they removed the list view WHICH THEY FUCKING DIDNT.

NOT. GOOD. ENOUGH.

Literal cancer. I can't imagine anything this ugly and incompetent being professionally designed. I'm ready to join the EGS mothership at this point. If I could transfer my accumulated crap over I'd be there in a second.

I just played around with it. I like that you can make a list specifically for your favorites and you can create your own collections for the games you own.

I dunno, it seems kinda neat and I would like to play around with it more to find how I can organize my library.

I don't mind the changes, but I've been using GOG Galaxy 2.0 for like a month now and it's ridiculous how much better it accomplishes the same design decisions that Steam tried to do with this update.
Hey, the basic fact that their game covers actually WORK already puts it miles above Steam. What, your giant megacorporation that handles millions of dollars can't be bothered to implement proper covers and we're left with blurry horizontal messes, while some Polacks have managed to achieve exactly that, are you kidding me? Look at this beauty, like half those games' covers don't work in Steam. I've done what Keystone suggested and went back to the good ol' design, and it's working great.

Well I think the people that made the games have to actually set the artwork for the cover. And I’m pretty sure you can always set your own cover for a game.

Personally, not a fan. While the list view is still there, I still prefer the look of the old library UI. Thankfully someone in the twitter thread linked to a video that explains how to revert to the old UI. I'll just leave it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VpNE3lNAJHU
