It also has a decided 'social science' flavor to it, a field where you'll often see -ic and -ness pretentiously affixed to words. What's the problem here? They are not banning the emoji, they are banning his name because he is using it like a fascist symbol. Yes it's stupid, but Steam actively goes against fascist and nazi content.

I've always been secretly amused by Weev's ability to make a simple emoji vaguely represent an old Nazi symbol. If you're not really up to speed on the background of Weev's internet handle you'd have little idea that it was any reference to political beliefs. Compare and contrast Chris's use of two lightning emojis separated by a blue heart.
