Steam Summer Sale 2025 - My wallet is ready

I got Chaosgate Daemonhunters and Yakuza Gaiden, both Denuvo games that are uncracked. Contemplating getting the newest Yakuza as well but i haven't even started playing Gaiden yet and 40€ doesn't seem as much of a deal. Might wait for another, better sale to get it.

You can probably wait a little more. Sometimes Sega do their own weekly sales on Steam.

I got Battlefield 3, also like $2.00. I expect it to run really badly and frankly not be fun at all, but I just can't enjoy Battlefield 1 anymore (not like Battlefield 3 will be any better, I can't enjoy BF1 in large part due to it not being milsim-lite) and I haven't played Battlefield 3 in ages, I only ever paid for one subscription at a time and so I'd say I haven't played BF3 in literally like ten years.
You should check the Venice Unleashed client, they have a lot of different game modes for BF3.

I'm very limited in what I can run. I got CrossCode because I liked the demo and the demo ran flawlessly. It looks really nice and it's fun. It kind of feels like a 2D PSO in a way. It is a pseudo-MMORPG. There's a lot of puzzles that require reflecting projectiles of of objects. Prism: Light the Way was my first DS game so it feels kind of nostalgic. Although it can be a tad frustrating until you realise just where you need to aim.

I keep re-browsing the sale, wondering if I missed some hidden gem, but if you own most of the games on the first page of a good sale at sub $30, you basically own the best price-to-fun games. I try to force myself to buy overwhelmingly positive cheap games just for the sake of it but even then I'm like.. "30 hours of an indie drug sim?". If it's not gacha games wasting your money, it's sandbox games wasting your time.
It's not quite the summer sale but humblebundle is a pretty decent thing to check on every now and then. For instance you can get all 3 bioshock games and mafia games for 18 bucks currently. It also has the humble choice bundle so if you like the games on display you can sub for a month (7.50 on sale currently or 12 dollars normally) which also gives you access to a vault of games that you can check out. Almost everything is redeemable on Steam in which case it's yours now.
The only thing Humble Bundle is good for is pushing the third-party key site prices into the fucking ground. A $35 game can end up $4 cause of people reselling the keys.

i bought corpse party this year and thats abt it

there was a great sale like 7-8ish years ago when i bought borderlands 2 and presequel with all the dlc, it was like 90% off or something
somewhere around these summers sales witcher 3 and valve pack were 90-95% off as well (i bought all of them)

there's not really a juicy sale like this rn from what ive seen

One thing I want more than anything else is a way to somehow filter out all those whacky zany "my fiance is a toilet!" "Ironic" VNs and walking sims that are clearly made by redditors and troons.

The front page is absolutely clogged with that shit.
Russian VNs are fun.
My recs since they're all cheap af.

And if you still want a good ol' Jap VN.
GOAT'd.

Tried Angels Fall First it wasnt for me any recs for the games where you fight agains bots aka old Battlefield style ? I tried Ravenfield (felt unfinished) then Easy Red (kinda same thing but dev seems more active) (i already have Star Wars Battlefront 2)

I ended up getting

-Wasteland Remastered
-Robocop
-Wizardry 8
-Deadly Premonition 1 and 2
-Recettear
-Heavy Rain

Pretty good deals overall I spent like 25-30 total which isn't very much.
Ah man I was just thinking about that VN earlier today, never played the sequel and didn't even think to check if it was on sale on steam. Really weird, but fun.

I haven’t bought anything as of yet. I have a big backlog on Steam and i kind of don’t want to pile onto it.

Looking at a new controller though. I thought valve fixed my Nintendo Pro controller disconnecting for a few seconds every 15-30 minutes. It worked perfectly fine when i played FFVI

Oh man Recettear is a name I haven't heard for a bit. For a capitalism simulator its weirdly engaging.

Let me know if you get Wiz 8 running - I bought that game and sat on it for a while - but when I went to play it I can't get it to run on a modern machine. Tried to refund and valve said tough luck been more than 2 weeks. I'd check if you can run it quick and return it if you cant.
