Stellaris Invicta - surprisingly good video game dramatization

I was honestly torn between posting this here, or in games, but I ultimately chose here because there is no actual video game playing. Everything they did is based on a play through of the Paradox game Stellaris though.

Stellaris Invicta was a production done by the youtube channel Templin Institute, and was initially created as a demonstration in "how to world build". Usually their content is lore videos and analysis of other peoples work. The plan was to dramatize the creation of space civilization using proper world building techniques (believable, interesting, logically consistent) apply that to a Stellaris civ, play a few hours, make another drama video of their playing the game, and an epilogue. Instead they "world built" too well, and people got really invested in the story. So they ended up going for an entire year, with 9 mainline "episodes" and a fanfiction fan wiki.

Its worth the watch if you got nothing to do, or listen if you are driving as you don't really need to see the visuals. Some of the artwork they use is pretty impressive (not theirs though). If nothing else this is a really good resource for any aspiring science fiction filmographers or writers who need an example of just how to create a setting for your story. Considering the low production costs this little project is definitely worth a look/mention for how good it ended up being.
