At the risk of sounding like a feminist, perhaps there's a reason that young women are drawn to middle-aged men rather than men their own age. This line of thinking has perhaps not occurred to Franssen.

I hate admitting this, but years back I bought Frassen's book since I liked the Title and cover art. Back then he didn't have a thread yet, and before cozy he was usually just producing livestreams on YouTube about that one weird polypansexual couple he always covers. I got 20 pages in before I stopped, but it wasn't until I checked back on it that I realized why.

Steve's rhetoric is dripping with Molyneux's old "take-a-stand" chiding. However, Molyneux had a bigger, actually monetized audience, and the point of his nagging of his peers was to keep his paypiggies on the farm. A curious ObjectivistTM might be led astray by too many Internet Dads and so Molyneux couldn't have anyone but sycophants on his show in good standing. It also helps add to the primacy of Molyneux as the kingmaker in his little corner of the Internet, since he is Caesar giving the thumbs-down on those who displease him.

In stark contrast Steve is not top-dog, as a consequence of his hitching his wagon to an egomaniac who can't have anyone else calling the shots, and also the fact that Steve is utterly repulsive, visually and personality. Steve also has a significantly smaller audience, so prospective fans who stumble upon this thread who already like Sam Hyde (who is way bigger and more charismatic) will think Steve is a crying infant pissing and shitting everywhere. Most importantly, Steve has a weakly monetized audience. Some of them buy books, and that's pretty much his only offering. Meanwhile Molyneux has the books, lets you send him donos, elicits therapy-tier pay-for-play from his call-in show guests, etc. Steve has no reason to throw barbs out at random strangers. His better half even collabed once with Sam Hyde so he would be better to hold his tongue; then again, he probably posted these in random, rapid succession without intent beyond venting and trying to posture himself to retarded people.

In summary, Steve is once again regurgitating stuff he has seen from his online heroes without thinking about why they did it or understanding how this harms his already DOA e-celeb career even more.

One of the key elements in criticizing someone for clout that Franssen unfortunately has forgotten is that you want to try to be funny, interesting or at the very least not spastically reiterating the same post formula X is not Y, X is really Z ten times in two hours. A mistake befitting a beginner, not so for our intrepid Internet veteran. Maybe he should take a class or something on social networking at his local community college and try to pick up some tips.
