I was looking through his YouTube Channel and the difference in views between his Star Trek videos and his activist videos is pretty stark.

His election stream video with Kristi Winters gets 1.6K views. While his Deep Space 9 video on whether Sisko was a war criminal gets 43K.

There is a huge audience for content on old TNG and DS9. Not so much for more steaming cold takes on social justice topics. The Snuffy videos are just fucking disturbing and even Bearing can't be bothered to redub them any more.

Shives must be around 40 years old, maybe he just realised that he needs to cut out stuff from his life that isn't working, ie Ashley.

Jesus christ I know channels with less than 1,000 subs that get more views than him. From skeptic punching bag to someone who's been completely forgotten.

I legitimately think she may actually be a dwarf.

In all the pictures of her that I have seen, never have I seen her standing next to someone or a full body shot and her head looks to be quite large for her shoulders.

Shives talks about his cat here and how close he was to it.

Notably his cat was actually something his wife brought up on Reddit multiple times as something that he didn't give a shit about until the divorce.


Note she says "He hasn't asked about her once since he's left". It is entirely possible that she is stretching the truth to make him look bad but I'm more inclined to believe her at this point since pets are often fought over in divorce.

I always knew Shives was a hypocrite given how drastically different he acted in his earlier videos compared to now. (He was originally significantly more pro free speech and was open to criticism originally). People assumed it was his wife's doing but it's more likely at this point he acts this way because he assumes it'll help him make money.

He also talks about seeing a ghost of his dog when he discovered his cat was dead which feels made up. Like it comes across like he ran out of video ideas and had to make something up.

I always forget this idiot exists. Let's look at his Social Blade

Let's be generous and assume he makes 8$ per 1k views, which is really up there, that means he's making roughly 3k$ a month off his channel. Though in reality he's probably closer to 4$ per thousand like most people, so he's making half of that, which is the upper end of what Social Blade predicts.
