I'm guessing because they think they are on the Right Side of History (TM), anything they do to prevent those they see would delay even a second that Superior Future (TM) is justified. Allowing those that would dare speak against them is tantamount to validating their position and if the other side has to resort to more extreme measures to get their message out, that in turn justifies the attempt to deplatform them retroactively.

It's authoritarianism and George R.R. Martins line “When you tear out a man's tongue, you are not proving him a liar, you're only telling the world that you fear what he might say” is particularly noteworthy.

They live in extreme echo chambers and any wrongthink might poison (read: convince members they're not 100% right all the time) and anything that might threaten ideological purity needs to be purged in a fire.

Well all I am saying is when you bring fire and swords, don't be surprised that the other side brings them in turn. The Post-Modernist (I.E. Marxist) mindset has been so poisonous for these kind of folks and universities, I wouldn't be half surprised if them and the humanities departments at universities get on terrorist watchlists. For all their hatred of religion, Western Religion that is, they act so much like a religious cult. Hopefully they ravage and destroy each other before they raise the stakes even further.

I'm pretty sure their operating procedure is "It's okay when we do it", and they probably think that the police will defend them from the worst retribution because they are righteous and their opposition is evil, or that their opposition subconsciously believes in their cause and as such will succumb to the truth when the righteous prove they are willing to fight for their beliefs.

Here’s a video that Steve posted recently that I found to be rather interesting. Regarding the video itself, I don’t really don’t have much to say. Really, the only reason I found for it to be worth posted here is the one moment where he actually has the nerve to call people who make response videos to his work “content parasites”. As if he wasn’t already incredibly contemptible and hypocritical as is. I guess he figured, as always, he needed to outdo himself.

I don't want to dis a new content provider but meh.

Steve was an atheist, now he's an SJW and his wife's a bitch.

Its got an annoying voice over which I cant work out whether its computer generated, and never having seen Dances with wolves I don't know if its weird and off putting because there is supposed to be an aping of the narrators style.

What's most annoying is the "now we will look at the evidence of Steve having..." and then doing nothing of the sort, like at all, it even changes subject at one point after saying "now we will..." WTF.

However, look in the comments and the internet has discovered a new Fellini according to the Steve Shives A-logs , most of whom we have threads on or at least get a mention in The Skeptical community thread.

The sad part is that with Steve Shives at one point did have some decent content if you were into that (though going to take apart creationist points isn't that hard and doesn't take a scholastic champion to do so) then he seemed to be blinded by his Social Justice Ideology and you can clearly see how it has stunted his channel where most of his videos at best get 5k on a channel that has 55k subscribers and I assume a good portion are hate watchers. I feel the Steve Shives A-logs are the other side of the Atheism cancer where they are a whole lot of neckbeards that must reflexively attack anything that doesn't agree with their euphoric points.

Shoe on Head, Sargon and Armoured Skeptic have been invited to Mythicist Milwaukee conference next month. Steve and his SJW retards have started an email and twitter campaign to get them booted. MythMil forwarded Shives email to them. Shoe on Head and Sargon have released videos about it. In Shoe's Livestream video she reads the email where he accuses her of racism, sexism etc etc. Steve's source and evidence? The rationalwikj entry on her.

Sargon really goes through the whole litany of his A-Logs there, since most of them show up.

The one notably absent from this is Kevin Logan, who I view as slightly better than the rest in terms of free speech stuff, because he doesn't (generally) try and go out of his way to remove his enemies from anything.

I'd be interested to see which way Mythisist Milwaukee jumps on this.

Richard Carrier (has a lolcow thread) and David Fitzgerald are heavily involved, and they are both uber SJWs. Although from the recent disclosures in the libel case, they both appear to be in it for the group sex with star struck teenagers (they're both middle aged men so, yeah).

Godless engineer is also a big contributor and while not a shitlord is certainly not an SJW.

From Memory, Shives is one of those atheists who thinks the Mythisist position is an embarrasment to atheism, so why he cares who's invited is weird. Sorry, forgot he is an SJW and therefore of the position "anyone who disagrees with me must not be allowed a platform".

I enjoy the videos Mythisist Milwaukee puts out from the conference so I'm hoping they tell Shives to get fucked, but I'm not convinced they will.

Oh, and yeah, I am a little embarrassed I know all this shit.
