I love how all of these give every character some bizarre 4-word sexuality that requires a dictionary to decipher. Then they get to the one character in the series that anyone can look at and think "yeah, that's clearly a dyke" and the person writing the blog can't come up with anything other than "Bisexual. Favors women."

It's probably because they can't relate to Jasper, the buff tall masculine cheeto puff. But when they look at someone like Pear or Lupus Lazuli, they think "Oh, they have a lot of my same flaws, time to project them onto them"
Or you get landwhales who make up headcanons for Rose Quartz or Amethyst, the "fat ones" (though Rose is actually more curvy than anything)

A lot of them sort of have social justice leanings, but for the most part they at least know how to act like adults. Usually, they're the ones who have to play nanny when the fandom does something stupid, like with the Keystone Motel drama. Aside from Matt Burnett's male Gems/Avengers post and Rebecca Sugar's Ed, Edd, and Eddy yaoi drawings, I haven't really seen anything particularly crazy from the crew. Lately, a lot of the writers have been deliberately avoiding interacting with the fandom, thanks to all the harassment and death threats they get when the fans don't get their way.

I'm honestly surprised that Jasper doesn't have more of a following. Yeah, she's a villain, but she's also the most identifiably "butch" character on the show. I'm surprised that there aren't more spergs going "OMG Jasper's a nonbinary pansexual demitrans Cheeto-kin" or something. Or, hell, at least a tranny of some nature, be it FTM or MTF. Oddly enough, the most masculine female character on the show seems to be the only one whom Tumblr doesn't see as a tranny or some other insane made up gender.
