Steven Universe fandom (Gemtlemen)

That's a pretty unpopular opinion, on Tumblr at least, though the rest of the opinions are probably pretty milquetoast stuff.
Meh, occasionally you get someone who either highlights why SU is so popular in particular or points out the similarities of past fads/fandoms.

I know this extends to various media but I don't get the trend of articles with "Why you should be watching/playing/doing X" or "Why I didn't like Y [...] Until Now". We need to keep hitting the nail on the head on why a kids show isn't worth half the piss it takes, because it's a kids show and not some declaration of forum war.

It's annoying.

Standard clickbait; they gotta shove in peoples' faces why thier fave show is the best and pure while shitting on the problematic pleb shit.

The only thing that is sort of a relief with all of this is that they are clickbait and designed to appeal to a fad. If it's not one children's cartoon it's another. In fact, I've, seen SU fans go full "stuff for adults is shitlord problematic dudebro crap, SU is perfect" which should say a lot about their maturity.

Tumblrina whines about the "sexualization" of one "non-binary" Steven Universe character, Stevonnie.
