Steven Universe fandom (Gemtlemen)

The showrunners seem to talk a lot to the fandom.
Can't they just say "stop being pricks"?
With a fanbase like this, PR is a dangerous game. They need to be very, very careful how the word things. Not only do they need to avoid stirring the hornet's nest, but they need to remember that fans take everything they say extremely literally. The Adventure Time staff learned that the hard way when the fans get angry every time the show implies that two characters might not be lesbians (someone on the staff joking confirmed they were gay without realizing just how autistic the fanbase was). They're still trying to explain that it was a joke to this day.

Even the Steven Universe staff have been starting to distance themselves from the fans recently because of it. At least two of the staff have big "Don't ask questions. I'm not going to reply" disclaimers at the top of their social media pages.

SJW diaspora
why do I find this so fucking hilarious, this territoriality over fucking cartoon shows. Aren't cartoon shows for boys and girls and everyone alike to enjoy (well for kids anyway, adults is a different matter)? Why is MLP, a show, which was actually kind of intended to espouse the same values (shows about girls can be interesting! girls can be diverse and still be girls! shows about girls don't have to have super stereotypical girls to be successful and fun!) completely hated by the SJW base for its adoption by a community of neckbeards, who for all their "love and tolerance" bullshit, can't even espouse the same values of friendship and accepting that girls aren't all just hive-mind whores that the show serves to teach? Why does everything have to be the territory of the neckbeards or the SJWs or the furry perverts or whatever else in between maybe it's just my autism speaking but I just don't understand.
"Autism" isn't even the right answer because it's likely because of my own autism that I don't understand the hatred and fucking territoriality lmao
Everything has to be territory of neckbeards, SJW's, and the like because for whatever reason, a kids show about talking horses, funny animal people, or alien gem people appeal to them in some way that autism may as well be the answer. Only reason why there could be hatred and territoriality is because you get two groups trying to gain dominance (neckbeards and SJW's), which in this case means that anything not going their way (lazy-eye horse getting a different name, alien gem woman not being drawn in a particular way) means they get rustled like Chris with blarms Sonic.

The showrunners seem to talk a lot to the fandom.
Can't they just say "stop being pricks"?
If they did, you'd still get fans being autistic over things no one cares about on the show, be it someone not drawing one gem alien in a particular way or having some pairing that many would find autistic and horrifying (such as shipping a 10 year old kid with a 3000 year old alien).

Plagued already? Wow.
Have some MS Paint OCs eyesores before sperging swallows up this thread completely.

Why do all the SU threads devolve into Autism?
Because of the kind of person who is interested in the topic.

Reading through this it is obvious who in the thread watches the show and who doesn't. That is not a compliment.

I have reported more posts in this thread as off topic than any other thread on the farms (20+ reports iirc).

This fandom spergs hard, just like mlp they are incapable of discussing their fellow fans without veering off to discuss the show.

I predict by the end of the year su avatars will carry the same stigma as pony ones and there is a very good reason those are rarely seen on the farms.
