Steven Universe fandom (Gemtlemen)

Even if you're a fan of something, why just get a character's disembodied hand for a tattoo? It's like if you got a tattoo of Batman's gloves, but a fraction of people will recognize it.

Real question: will SU tattoos be the new warning coloration?

It's a lame attempt not to powerlevel, on the basis that only those "in the know" would recognize it. Like those brony tattoos that are a cutie mark or something that isn't actually a pony.

Those will still attract public attention from the kind of people who do recognize it, that is, total spergs, and will ruin any attempt at keeping a lid on their public autism.

It already is.

Why does this one get the most fetish-porn?

@Silver gave me a link to this persons devaintart, and it is hilarious. (censoring the users name by request)

So the user made a pony O.C of her Gemsona. You heard me right, she made a O.C of her O.C.

However the main attraction of this persons account are their porn art...of her O.C and pearl.

All these posters need Jesus!

If there's one thing worse than fetish art, it's poorly drawn fetish art

So are the kids that watch this (ie the actual appropriate audience for a cartoon) likely to be weird/protoSJW kids, or are their tastes not refined enough at that age to see beyond bright colours and simplistic songs?

Like kids who watch any other show, they're likely to just be kids who like watching a show. They haven't grown into autistic adult children who try to project their rudimentary, vestigial political ideals onto children's shows.

I watched a few episodes and found it to be pretty generic and forgettable but what struck me was that Steven Universe is basically a Western harem anime. the formula (hapless male MC with special destiny who is surrounded by a largely female cast with special powers) is a concept that's built from the ground up to appeal to spergs and weirdos. I don't doubt that the creators had a secondary audience in mind when they wrote the concept.

i thought steven universe wasn't gonna last more than 12 episodes with how it was setup, they didn't target this towards kids is what I'm getting, like what @Ruin said, this show is a generic harem anime but under the guise of a children's cartoon.
Look,
I thought this show was harmless until I actually looked at tumblr and THIS VIDEO.

They're probably only going to enjoy it as just a cartoon. Anything else would probably fly above their heads.

Kids just don't get interested in SJW stuff, mainly because they can't comprehend the ideas. What does a kid know about female representation?

At least it doesn't excuse itself by trying to pair the boy with the women and thus people get creeped out, I guess? Not sure what I even am going on about right now.

target this towards kids
Heres the issue, it was targeted towards kids at first but when ratings started to slip and they noticed of the older fanbase becoming involved in the show, they started pandering to them to stay afloat. This saved the showed but put them in a very bad place at the same time. Since I'm guessing they dont have many of the original intended audience left, they have to keep the show in line with this new, much older audience. While it may be good for ratings, the violate reactions of this audience can literally fuck this show over if they do something it doesn't approve of while a audience made of kids wouldn't really give a shit what happened as long as it had bright flashy lights.

Yeah, kids aren't interested in autistic things like making creepy shippings and thinking every character must be some sexuality only an SJW would believe in. They just want to watch a cartoon about technicolored people going on adventures. Compare that to SJW's and other adult manchildren who think the show is 2deep4u.
