Steven Universe - Now a Griefing Thread

Honestly, I find that much more believable than the idea that Cartoon Network somehow hates money, and just wants to air Teen Titans Go to piss off people while potentially losing millions of dollars in the process. If SU was more profitable with kids, it would air as much as TTG. Truth is kids do love TTG; nostalgic adults are the ones that hate it.

Don't get me wrong, I love SU, that's why I'm here, but I can easily see why it's not as popular with kids as TTG is. The pacing is too slow for kids, and the action is too spaced between filler episodes. Kids want quick entertainment and not the long game SU usually does with long waits for high payoffs.

Well then. Certainly not something I expected to see be up brought regarding the crewniverse. Although, I really shouldn't be surprised.

I get the feeling many of these episodes were being worked on before they came with with all those developments in the first series and just never got around to fixing them when it came time to do the actual episodes.

Then again, I don't know what the development and production cycle for the avarage SU episode is, so who knows, it might just be them forgetting the development or dropping it because it doesn't fit their specific narrative.

Yes but in a different way. They were originally presenting Neo Kosmos online in an animatic format, but that was really exceptional and wasted so much time vs just drawing regular comic pages that they quit that venue, and are now working on publishing NK as a series of YA novels. Or maybe it's already published idk I don't care that much about NK because it took forever to do anything and even then nothing really happened.

The latest two episodes were pretty good, but one highlight for me is how Steven is now vegetarian.

I guess it does fit his character considering he is now in his teenage years, and he has been shown trying to befriend literally anything. But it feels a bit odd considering he spent most of the series being the fat kid that eats lots of junk food.

He even rejected some pancakes with lots of sugar!

Steven has always been very girly, I think. Nothing out of the ordinary for a boy living with mostly sisters(or gems in this case).

But now that you mention that, Connie, his girlfriend, has been suspiciously ignored since the season 5 finale.

In the Spinel movie she only got a mention, I think, and she supposedly has been busy "studying" to explain her absence this season. As if they simply didn't want to do anything with her.

With how much they have been avoiding Connie lately, I wouldn't be surprised if the show ended up ditching her for a boyfriend reveal for Steven.

I know it would be unthinkable in any other show, to break a beloved established couple for representation, but knowing Sugar and her woke crewniverse, I wouldn't be surprised if they downgraded Connie to a friend and replace her with a boy as Steven's love interest.

I thought this show had at least some redeeming qualities until this new season/show(?).

One of the worst shows in recent years.

Glad it came to an end.

The characters were annoying, the art style was ugly, the messages were obnoxious, the songs overrated, and the story was a complete mess.

It had everything I hate all packaged within this terrible show and turned certain people I found mildly annoying into people I cannot freaking stand.

I’ve been enjoying the new series so far. Very nice little epilogue look into the series after the end and how things would go. The Snow Day episode was enjoyably goofy.
