Glad you didn’t say the music, it’s the one genuinely great aspect of the series even if you despise everything else.
The music is ok. Servicable at best, not a lot of tv shows are also musical so it stands out, but the songs aren't that unique and the voice actors can't sing for shit to save their lives.

When you compare it to other TV musicals it becomes apparent how bad it is.

Rebecca Sugar hasn't talent to do musicals. Every piece of shit i've seen in both S1 & S2 were cringe as fuck, incluiding the Adventure Time ones.
Meanwhile, Danny De Vito had literally more personality to doing musicals.

To me, most of the songs in that show were pretty corny. Even the one that I actually liked, where Jasper and Garnet go for an rematch felt kind of weird. Like it was some lesbian BDSM love song instead of it being an diss track.

I've always had a hard time believing that Sugar really wrote all the music. The quality ran from absolute bangers like Do It For Him, to hot garbage like Here Comes a Thought. There's no way the same person was responsible for both.

And even then it got completely mogged by a fucking Undertale parody of all things.

I find it strange how little extra material has been made of the show following Future. It was a massive hit, you would expect them to be kicking around ideas for tv specials like Adventure Time or considering a possible revival or further sequel, given the potential expansiveness of the universe (though Sugar did everything possible to make Steven's universe small as fuck)

Unless I'm missing something. There's no comics, no books, barely any merch. Seems like someone wants the show to stay buried.

on the contrary, there are books and comics of this show but you dont hear about them that much as they arent noteworthy enough for people to care and also because there arent a lot of them

Is anyone really shocked that the creator of a show full of gays and trannies with a gay marriage between 2 lolis on screen is pro tranny?
I'm pretty sure that the show foreshadowed this during that time when they've hired one to voice one of the minor antagonists. Oh, and the fusion between Steven and his girlfriend is canonically considered to be nonbinary (which is also pretty sketchy).

virtual concert = gay livestream

An 'international LGBTQ space' for 13-24 year olds is making safeguarding alarms go off in my head, please tell me I'm not the only one. Even at best it'll host someone's confused self-hating daughter moping with a clique of enby girls, at worst it'll be an all you can eat buffet for the equal-opportunist coomer-groomer 24 year old coming to harvest all the tweens.

It's not a one-time event, it's an existing online grooming forum, for online grooming (and external links for those wishing to get raped IRL). It's got a child rape section for rapists and prospective victims, a zoophile section, apparently a poly cuck section too. Here's a badly structured rant by Bees Against Honey.

So what do you think this "Big Announcement" shit will be, if this means we're getting a third SU Spin-off... i'm fucking done.
I doubt that it’s anything SU-related, while SU-themed Funko NFTs were released last week (and did terribly sales-wise) CN has only used the IP for promotional purposes recently. The current theory is that Rebecca is probably announcing a new animated project that’s unrelated to SU.

I know, I was shitting on the concert first. I don't trust any of these non-profits to set up yet another social media clone honeypot for that exact reason. There's ways to do it right (Childline in the UK which is just a hotline, not a forum) and then there's this. I read from KF that The Trevor Project is shittily managed as usual and that all of the money goes to the top, so on top of the grooming pit I bet the infrastructure for it will run like thick shit.

Well it turns out that the "big announcement" Rebecca did after her recent charity stream wasn't for a new animated project, it was for a self-made album that's releasing in November.

I can't say I'm surprised by this since song-writing is the one thing that's been keeping her relevant in both Twitter's and the cartoon industry's eyes, I guess the "trauma" she experienced whilst working on SU is still too fresh to justify coming back to the industry proper.
