She’s doing a livestream of it now, though I dunno if she’s already gone through the vid itself or not.

Also, Youtube link.
I just noticed that Amethyst & Friends is a Barney reference. Amethyst's VA voiced this thing on the show IIRC

Vox is a mongoloid, but he's not exactly wrong here. The first PSA muddied the waters with the gay couple bit, the second left itself way too open to fact-checking, but this one has a relatively simple message which is less judgemental towards the viewer and actually focuses on the topic at hand. If they were all like this I'd probably like them more.

...How is “see skin color” a good message to send? It’s just plain backwards and pretty detrimental to actual race relations?
I’m not even going to address Awestruck; dude is just going to simp for the show no matter what it does.

Ignoring that people are different is what creates divisions in the first place. No matter how hard the right wants to pretend otherwise, addressing these issues is not what causes racism. All it does it bring it to the surface in those who engage in it.

>the right
You do realize this general message pushed by everyone not even 20 years ago, right? It’s not some right wing agenda. Fuck, look at Martin Luther King’s “Judge a man not by the color of his skin but by the content of his character (paraphrased)”.
And while I’m all for recognizing the differences different people face, focusing on race first and foremost and leaving it there is not the way to go.

...Are you fucking high?

Nobody's saying that people aren't different. You're putting words in people's mouths. This is about how these retards pushing this "see color" bullshit are just using it as an excuse to feel better about themselves. But guess what? This is not stopping division in the goddamn slightest! If anything, this pack of mental gymnastics is only making the situation worse!

Personally I can't be doing with Lamar's style of boarding. You'll probably know his designs if you saw them: Extremely tiny and extremely off model. Either that or gigantic hair.

Edit:
New PSA dropped featuring Best Gem.
funny way of spelling Pearl.
Yeah he's also the idiot who made Concrete and Becky took the heat for the inevitable shitfit from the fandom. One of the rare times I'd defend her because heaven forbid a black person makes a fucking mistake (hardly a mistake all things considered but the point stands).

About the video, compared to the other two it's more to the point even if the point once again does more harm than good. The phrase "i don't see color" always sounded stupid but it's core meaning is well-intended: fuck racial differences, be excellent to each other. Adding in a literal colored person drives home the point that it does not matter what you look like, don't be an ass if you want friends. But adding a literal colored person here drives home how fucked this shit is. They want to focus on blacks and feel bad for them, they don't want harmony among all races. If they did, they'd have other fucking races besides whites and blacks (and gems).

And I know this is fiction but if I were that camera crew I'd power through these psas and never work with the gems again. They're constantly changing the scripts, derailing the flow, wasting time to moralfag while the cameras off and are one step away from an "I want you off the fuckin set ya prick" tirade ala Christian Bale.

I never knew they had another dinosaur on there. Must've been a ratings thing.

If actual kids cared about SU and took it to heart, white kids will act like black kids are stupid and black kid will feel white kids are their enemy.
They would! If kids actually watched this crap. They're watching TTG, Mao Mao, Ninjago, Monster High (I think still?) and whatever kiddy crap is on Netflix.

It’s also a pretty backwards message to send to the little kids that this is supposedly for, because little can’t actually do anything about another person’s economic or social woes. But you know what you can teach little kids about that they can do something about? Treating all their peers they’ll meet in places like school with respect and dignity, and how you can be friends with people who might seem like they’re different from you at first.

These PSAs play out like they were instructed to make something for kindergartners about simple addition, but instead went right into matrix algebra or quantum algebra. The whole damn point is to start off with the simple and more easily digestible message first and then add onto that message by introducing the more complex facets. Doing it this way seems to make a lot of kids anxious over things they can’t control.

So are you telling us to recognize 13/50? No, it's the left doing the stupid divisionism now. Get the stupid out of your head.

Perhaps I'm late but whatever. Veridis Joe defends Steven Universe PSAs because Anti-Racism is good.
The comments mostly agreed with him:

Well, for what its fandom became, it taught the love and tolerance thing a million times better than Steven Universe could have hoped to.

I don't really like the term "negative racism" or "reverse racism" because there is no such thing. If you believe certain races have inherently negative characteristics, you're just a plain old racist. We're no longer arguing about whether racism is bad but which race is worst.
