I've come to realize that this issue really isn't worth caring about unless you have grounds for a lawsuit or you have as much influence, money, and untouchability as JK Rowling. There's nothing the average person can do to change this at the individual or societal level unless you can sue, and it's such a shallow, basic topic that there's nothing you can say about it that hasn't been said before. Not to be all "but how does this affect you personally", but when you consider real-world issues like the climate crisis, companies price gouging, and AI taking over everything, trans people really aren't that big a deal. It's less about the people (even though it enables predators, which is a very big deal) and more about trans ideology - which has been embraced by doctors, schools, police, the media, everything. It suggests divorcing yourself from biology, nature and reality and puts artificial identity above all else. And unfortunately it's not just themselves they take along for the ride, it's all of us. We're all faced with more and more changes that pushes us further away from what it means to be human, along with AI, hyper-consumerism etc etc. I don't see these things as completely separate. Rapidly changing our language and shared concepts of reality, without question, is a real world issue that has a huge impact, especially on women.. except we will no longer have the words to describe this unique vulnerability we experience, if we allow it to progress.

Last night I finished to read Dworkin's Pornography and I need help here.

Now I'm highly uneducated and have an allergy to intellectual shit and I hate with a passion those writers that scatter quotes left and right sometimes with little or nothing to do with the actual subject.

Beside Dworkin using holohoax fraudsters such as Wiesel and co. , with the exception of the part on Kinsey the rest of the book to me is absolutely atrocious.

There's a whole chapter on laser and pussy after three pages of , again, laser and pussy I gave up and passed on the next chapter ( not that was any better ).

At any rate, the manner in which she writes is so obnoxious to me, i.e. "Jane sit on the sofa. Jane has a red dress. John enters the room. The room is cream colored. John has a boner. John eyes pierce Jane's pussy" and on and on for pages after pages of this shit, the worst prose ever, full stop after every-single-sentence. More than half of the book is like that.

It's titled "Pornography" but ain't no pornography in there ( as in no insight into the industry itself ), it's a collection of "Men are rapists, Men are pedophiles, Men gets off women's humiliation, Men kill conquer maim and destroy" ( pages and pages and pages of this ).

Funnily enough there's a whole chapter on De Sade ( obviously ) where she scorn anyone that wrote anything even remotely positive on the author, goes into every graphic details as much as possible ( the marquise was a total pervert and such low hanging fruit tbh ) and the thing is if you've read Justine you'd know it's of abysmal quality, it's literally an almost mechanical collection of atrocities that ends up reading like Dworkin's book.
