Knowing myself, I probably would. Doctors have been doing harmful shit to people for ages: prescribing pregnant women pills that make their children armless etc. But nobody knew these things were bad until it was too late (that's how people found out). Doctors don't know shit, but I'm even more clueless. We'll see how that goes.
The thing is, we already know that medical transition is more harmful than helpful. More and more is coming out about the complications of it. How much research have you done into the health risks of medical transition? Because most doctors are not going to inform you about all of it, as that's how they lose an expensive customer - or they're just willfully ignorant and unaware.
Here are some of the health complications for FTMs specifically:
- FTM HRT can cause Vaginal Atrophy - which is the thinning, drying, and inflammation of vaginal walls due to decreased estrogen levels, which testosterone suppresses. Vaginal Atrophy can cause urinary incontinence. I've heard Buck Angel is struggling with this. [Source 1] [Source 2]
- FTM HRT increases the risk of developing Osteoporosis - a disease which causes the thinning of bones and decreased mechanical strength, making it easier to fracture and break bones. This is why there's FTMs in their 20s using canes. [Source]
- FTM HRT potentially may increase the risks of certain cancers developing - namely Breast Cancer, Cervical Cancer, Endometrial Cancer, and Ovarian Cancer. This makes sense considering PCOS, a condition in which "cis" women have elevated Testosterone, are at risk for Ovarian Cancer. [Source]
- FTM HRT changes the way fat distribution works in your body. Some FTMs become overweight. Some of them develop metabolic syndromes, like hyperlipidemia and impaired glucose tolerance. Female skeletal structure also may not be built to handle the weight of a male fat distribution. [Source 1] [Source 2]
- FTM HRT changes the way your vagina looks, typically giving you an enlarged clitoris, that FTMs like to refer to as "bottom growth" or "T-dicks" (due to the fact some resemble micropenises). Your labia may appear swollen. [Source 1] [Source 2] In "cis" women, enlarged clitorises are associated with adrenal tumors and a cause for medical concern. [Source]
- FTM HRT increases the likelihood of vulvodynia and clitorodynia - chronic pain in the vulva and clitoris. [Source] (As well as people on Reddit reporting the issue)
- FTM HRT increases your cortisol levels, and too high of cortisol levels increases your risks of: heart attack, stroke, immune system suppression, digestive problems, and Cushing syndrome. Even "cis" women with PCOS struggle with these issues, due to PCOS causing higher-than-average cortisol. [Source 1] [Source 2]
- FTM HRT can increase migraines. [Source]
- FTM HRT can give you Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension, which affects your eyesight. There was a 22-year-old FTM that experienced it soon after having started FTM HRT. [Source]
- FTM HRT in general causes your body to act more similarly to a menopausal woman. Research all the things that menopausal women struggle with. It's a lot, from physical phenomena to mental/emotional instability.
- FTM HRT increases hair loss and acne SIGNIFICANTLY. You may experience more acne on your back and shoulders. 91% experience facial acne, and 88% experience back acne. Billions of sources on this. [Source]
- Top surgery can result in necrosis - aka dead rotting body tissue. The most horrific top surgery picture I've personally witnessed was one where the suture wasn't tightened or anchored well enough, leading to ruffle-like puffs underneath the patient's chest. [More information on necrosis]
- Testosterone will increase your sex drive significantly. Some FTMs even report changing sexual orientation after starting HRT. This makes sense considering "prison gay" is a phenomenon people have known about for a long time, where in desperation, a man can start fucking other men solely because it's easier to solicit sex from men. [Source on link between Testosterone levels and sex drive]
- More of an anecdotal reported thing and less of a researched thing, but some FTMs have reported experiencing "roid rage" as a result of the extreme amount of T pumped into their bodies. This makes sense, considering that Testosterone is linked to aggression. [Source on link between Testosterone and aggression]
- I won't talk about all the horrible stuff about rotdogs, since you have already said you don't want one.
- There's also a lot of danger in giving children puberty blockers, but you're an adult, so I won't talk about that either.
I could probably find even more, but, you get the point. And that's only the complications that we know of right now. A lot of this stuff is being suppressed because "transphobia", and all of this is still relatively new. I foresee even more shit coming out over time.
I also wouldn't say that you're making this decision in completely sound mind, given you were defending people who want to chop off parts of their body like fingers, for no reason. I hope you don't complain and Gofundme e-beg for donations if you experience any of the things I listed, because you completely brought any health complications onto yourself, despite being warned. I hope the tradeoff of "feeling like a man" is worth having a shortened lifespan. I guess maybe you can develop a diaper fetish to cope with urinary incontinence.
Some medical centres do. The ultra left ones don't (because they know their patients aren't actually trans). In the area I live there is a centre that does it. I want to get a brain scan very much.
I would be interested to read about the hospitals that do, if you have any links. Prior to the popularity of transgenderism, hormonal imbalances used to be taken more seriously as a cause for medical concern, as they are IMBALANCES that lead to issues, not signs that you have a "magical male soul that was tragically trapped in a woman's body that you must free to live as your true self".
