I love it when in isekais there is a sudden info dump of fake game mechanics for mere seconds of screentime. One example is in "So I'm a Spider, So What?" where the main character compares their skills to an enemy dragon with a quick Inspect and there's a massive kanji dump on screen with translator notes for maybe 2 seconds, and when you try to freeze it on a streaming service the UI of said service cuts off 20% of the info you're trying to read. Great user experience, feels just like a shitty MMO

I don't hate anime conceptually, and i actually like a fair few older anime series', but ya'll anime fans need to stop acting like autistic retards and watching shows primarily featuring little girls and lolis and shit, being able to relate to a high school girl enough to enjoy slice of life shows about them should worry you immensely.
 
10% of anime is Kino, 90% are fake and gay.

I would also add Akira, most of the rest of Studio Ghibli's output, castle of cagliostro, perfect blue, og ghost in the shell, and the evangelion series too.
 
Anime is no more cringe then movies are. I just want some dark and mature anime again. I'm tired of the Teenage girl, beta guy anime. Fuck the 1990s had gunsmith cats, and blood angel. Fuck they could use all the Influences of call of duty to make something dignifying. Instead I'm just watching more Isekai trash. Give me a series that isn't Isekai trash for once. It stopped being a good trend in the early 2010s just make it stahp or make something new.

Serious question. I've never seen an example of anime that didn't lead me to the conclusion that fans of it are emotionally stunted at best, and likely into kids.

An unironic answer is that a lot of those types of shows are vehicles for companies, organizations, and the local government to advertise recreational activities and tourism which calls in an audience that are interested in getting into it or traveling.

Its how I found out about the Tottori Sand dunes, anyway.

Isn't that just regular cartoons? Anime seems like a very specific type of cartoon that caters to that shit.

No. Anime is a medium. That's it. There's a lot of studios that like to appeal to that shit since it sadly sells, but it's far from the only, and that wasn't always the case.
 
I don't hate it, I just dislike Togashi and I've become desentisized to Shonen Jump's ultra violent model and have gone to Shoujo animus and "A Certain Scientific Railgun" and "Cowboy Bebop"
