Germany is the fourth country to successfully surpass the threshold.
Also 4k away from 300k total. Getting 100k signatures a week at this rate. Might actually see it succeed by Christmas.View attachment 6324712

Don't tempt fate, especially since Central Europeans are making the push, don't want to get bogged down in Belgium and France.Might actually see it succeed by Christmas.
It works a little bit differently.I support this initiative, but I don't have high hopes for it on the long run. The people who will decide on this in the end are not well informed on the issue to begin with and often resist gaining further information if it doesn't come from their assistants. There might be a small percentage of people calling the shots who understand what's even the point in this. Forcing Apple to change to USB-C was something everyone there had experience with. They all probably had tons of Nokia chargers and micro-USB cables in their drawers.
Then you add lobbyists to the mix and there are chances the whole thing gets neutered down to the point of being ineffective, or maybe it gets twisted to serve the opposite purpose via weasel words.
Considering how corrupt the EU is and how much lobbyists screw with the people with power, I've got no trust in this. I wish to be proven absolutely wrong with this. This, of course, assumes everything is handled above board.
You have to consider that EU bureaucrats love lining their pockets by fining big tech companies. They probably love the idea of getting some of that sweet gaming money while being seen as the protectors of the citizens.Considering how corrupt the EU is and how much lobbyists screw with the people with power, I've got no trust in this. I wish to be proven absolutely wrong with this.
