I mean, we tried to let the industry self regulate. But they just couldn’t help themselves. Like Ross said, government regulations can’t make the industry worse than what we already have.

I believe industries should be given the opportunity to self regulate before government gets involved. Because we all know what the nine most terrifying words are.

And the gaming industry did self regulate for a few decades until the suits took over and decided to squeeze gamers for all they can.

Roblox being a Video Games Europe member is sort of a blessing considering the VGE statement next to everything Roblox is currently in the news for. With the AG and Schlep news, it's supposedly reaching tech-illiterate facebook boomers. It'll probably be hard for the industry to argue that only the big names can handle player safety when their members are not only hosting but actively defending child rapists, it's hard to imagine a worse public image to have.

SKG really does have the literal fucking devil as an opponent.
