this is the story of the cat and the entire stick of butter.

this is the cat that i am talking about in the story:



we got a new kitten and eventually it grew to become a cat (the same cat from the photo)

one night i heard a strange sound coming from the kitchen. I went out to see what it was and saw that the cat was standing on the kitchen counter. It had managed to get the stoneware lid off of the butter dish and had eaten the entire stick of butter inside. The cat had butter grease all over its paws face and muzzle and resembled a Cholesterol Gremlin. and that was the story of the cat and the entire stick of butter.

the cat was fine. she lived to a ripe old age of 19 and a half years old. I think the butter helped to lubricate the inside of the cat, for a healthy functioning body.

apparently the midwest keeps the butter in the fridge (!!) and the west keeps it in a buttah dish or just a bowl

oh. Yeah we have always kept a stick in a covered dish next to the bread and everything. Keeps it nice and spreadable, never had an issue with contamination (except the one time with the cat) or the butter going bad or anything. Sorry if that sounds gross to some people! I thought everyone did that.

Nah leaving the butter out is normal, the only time I put the butter dish in the fridge is when it's hot as fuck out because it will go rancid.
