story about cat and entire stick of butter

Did the cat crap oil after that?

I'm fortunate that my cat has no interest in anything other than her usual brand of kibble. Won't touch a treat, wet food, or even tuna.

oh. Yeah we have always kept a stick in a covered dish next to the bread and everything. Keeps it nice and spreadable, never had an issue with contamination (except the one time with the cat) or the butter going bad or anything. Sorry if that sounds gross to some people! I thought everyone did that.
We do the same. Try to spread cold butter on toast/a bagel, it's a mess.

the cat needs the butter to make the biscuits

I once put an entire stick of butter on popcorn due to being high on pungent cannabis. You do feel pretty lubricated after it, joints and skin.

Nah leaving the butter out is normal, the only time I put the butter dish in the fridge is when it's hot as fuck out because it will go rancid.
The dish helps block the sunlight and air that enable rancidification of the fats in butter. Even better if it's one with a water rim to fully block airflow.

A wholesome tale for sure.

Here, have an oldie but goodie kot image, displaying the typical bravery we would expect from these adorable creatures...
