El-oh-el at that AO3 account. You know you're in for a treat when an author has multiple high school AU's under their belt.

And all this talk of ranch dressing makes me think of Springs1, just with fewer asterisks and exclamation points.

Anyway, no, you suck at talking to people. You're a belligerent, whiny know-it-all. Nobody wants a journalist who won't do any work because it's too difficult and constantly gets mad at people for minor shit.
She's like a younger female version of Jonathan Sweet.

It's not my fault! No one told me!
It's the cries of a lolcow. It's as distinctive as a cat's meow.
Nobody TOLD HER how to get psychiatric help! She might get laryngitis walking in the sun! Scary dogs kept her from getting her driver's license! Liberals! Progressives! Maybe she'll get lost at the Houston medical center and wander around for eight hours, stewing in indignation.

Seriously I'd like to see @Stray Sheep and Sweet interact with each other, that'd be priceless.

So she honestly believes shes SUCH a special snowflake that the symptoms of her conditions have never been seen before in the entire history of psychology and therefore no professional knows how to correlate these symptoms to previous conditions demonstrated by others?
Funny how she hasn't checked herself in to be studied for future reference on this particular condition, it could be called 'Kayla's disorder'! She could get a nobel prize for her contributions to the field of psychology! She could be world famous and make so much money she never has to work again!
Or this could be bollocks but PFFT what do I know, she knows herself better than anyone else after all!

Even if you're a professional in mental healthcare with all of the pertinent education and degrees, you still can't diagnose yourself, because you aren't objective about yourself and your condition. It's like a brain surgeon trying to perform brain surgery on themselves: it just won't work out very well. If you want to take a nice picture of a building, you gotta be outside of the building to do it.

I'll just leave this gem here for everyone to gawk at.
Continue to shine on as a beacon of intelligence and wisdom, Kayla
Note that the person in that little story STILL WENT TO A DOCTOR AND GOT CONFIRMATION.
Even if you THINK you have a problem and are pretty sure you know what it is that shouldn't stop you going to get the opinions and help from a professional who deals with people with the same problem every day and can tell you ways to overcome or live with it.
Kayla is actively encouraging people not to get themselves diagnosed and the support structure that comes with diagnosis because she doesn't want a doctor to take away her specialness by telling her she's normal. Fuck all the sympathy I had before, that shit ain't right.

I'm convinced at this point that there is no hope for Kayla to ever take any good advice from us or get an epiphany over how pathetic her current existence is. She'll just fester in the comfortable delusion and stupidity of Tumblr and ignore anything that isn't comfortable for her. There's no point in trying to help someone if they don't want to help themselves. It's best to just point, laugh, and enjoy the stupid as much as we can at this point.

That is genuinely worrying, even if my kid was the biggest drama queen on the block I'd be at least concerned if they ended up with a thread here and if strangers started linking me these ramblings. Kayla if you ARE still here....I'm sorry, that actually sucks.
Again, I doubt the mom has even seen them. I only remember to check my 'other' inbox on Facebook every few months, and I have found things there that had been sitting for like 6 months. I don't think it's a lack of concern (Kayla's reaction suggests her parents would shit bricks if they did find out); I think it's just Failbook's shitty system that filters messages from people you don't know to some kind-of-hidden folder - unless you pay for it to go directly to their inbox.

This is somewhat stupid to me but anyway...
