I agree with that. Plus it's more effective if Kayla knows we have an ace up our sleeve, if I may be excused to get really weeny about it

Well, her mom did say that Kayla lies a lot and loves negative attention. I have no idea if her mom actually talked to Kayla or not yet. I sent her a lot of information, so her mom could still be trying to process and research everything for all I know. At least her mom acknowledges that tumblr is toxic...I don't see Kayla being on there much longer.

I sent her mom one last messaging saying I'm happy that Kayla's alright and wishing her family good luck, but I'm not sending anything else since that comes off as too invasive to me. If she does send another reply, I'll cap it.

Agreed on all points, discretion is the better part of valor.
EDIT: I've been on the edge of my seat for days about this room business, to the point that I cleaned MY room to pass the time so that hopefully she'll have cleaned hers. YOU ARE TEARING ME APART, KAYLA!

My husband cleaned our son's room from top to bottom out of nowhere before bedtime. This seems to be catching...

For real, though, Kayla's dad sounds like that could be a can of worms we don't want to open up. Considering she said "My mom doesn't deserve to be punished for my mistakes", or something similar. I know she's a lying tumblrina who shitposts about suicide but ffs if that's truth and it's getting glossed over because of her track record of being the Tumblr Who Cried Suicide...

I feel like if her dad was dangerous, she would have already flogged it for all the pity it's worth.

Also she's very quiet suddenly. I know it's too soon and yet...

just thought id point out that its been about half an hour since kayla posted that about her mum not caring and nothing since. which is quite a long time by her absurd standards.

no doubt she'll post again the minute i post this but im done for tonight- what a ride, I didn't think we'd see another vade type tumblr-suicide-meltdown-and-fallout so soon; here's to many more to come!

I agree, the more I think about it, the more it's clicking to me that her dad seems to be the one facet of her life that has elicited a sharp escalation in her trying to stop us from doing whatever it is we're doing, and I dunno, something about that kind of makes me feel she isn't lying completely about her dad. I apologize for my prior weenery, I was in bad form.

Possibly, but I'm cautious. I had a friend when I was in middle school who would talk shit about her mother all day long if they got into a disagreement, but wouldn't even side-eye her stepfather. Found out years later it was because he was prone to beating the whole family if he thought they "disrespected" him in any way. This scenario is sort of reminding me of that.
