Australian Primary School (y1 -7) has school elections, usually chosen from grade 7.

What adult ( I mean someone over 18 not necessarily someone who is mentally mature) still really cares what happened in ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. It's like not winning the cellphone or being class president in 6th fucking grade is one of the greatest tragedies in her entire life. What a scary school.

High school usually isn't too fun or exciting, compared to other times in life. I would powerlevel about my own experiences, but that would be boring. But in general, high school is just a time for transition and growth for adolescents? Maybe if Kayla got involved in cool things after high school, like volunteering or post-secondary education, she would have something else to ruminate over besides high school shit. Maybe.
