Culture Study: Turns out gender dysphoria isn't a thing, but autism is - Rat King subforum to be presented as evidence

Dr. Kenneth Zucker, a psychologist with 30 years of experience running the largest Canadian childhood gender clinic, believes that transgender children may actually just be suffering from autism.

The psychologist says that a child suffering from gender dysphoria, or transgenderism, may be wrongly convincing themselves that they are their opposite biological gender due to fixation—a common quality associated with autism—on their gender.

"It is possible that kids who have a tendency to get obsessed or fixated on something may latch on to gender,” says Zucker. “Just because kids are saying something doesn't necessarily mean you accept it, or that it's true, or that it could be in the best interests of the child.”

Zucker has also linked the high association of trans children who suffer from autism to support his claim.

“Latest figures show that the number of children under 10 in Britain being referred to the NHS over transgender feelings has quadrupled in five years,” notes The Telegraph. Zucker claims such children are “seven times more likely to be on the autistic spectrum.”

The psychologist makes his controversial claim on the BBC 2 documentary Transgender Kids: Who Knows Best?, set to air on Thursday night. The film examines opposing viewpoints surrounding gender dysphoria in children, a disorder growing at an alarming rate. The documentary has received blow-back from ardent transgender activists who want to ban the film from airing until it is reviewed by “experts;” a Change.org petition has been created, garnering over 10,000 signatures advocating for the censorship.

Besides linking autism to gender dysphoria, Zucker has been critical of the idea that we must appease the illness and allow children to “transition” to their opposite sex. In fact, the psychologist claims he was booted from the children’s trans clinic in Toronto for voicing such a dissenting view.

As reported at The Daily Wire this month, the American College of Pediatricians has estimated that 75-95 percent of children with gender dysphoria grow out of such sexual confusion before adulthood. This reinforces the notion that allowing children to "transition" at a young age could do far more harm than good.

Transgender activist and Mermaids Chief Executive Susie Green thinks Zucker’s view and the BBC 2 documentary in totality are moving transgenderism “backwards.”

“We are trying to move away from the perception of it being perceived as a psychological ailment, and this just goes backwards," Green told The Guardian.

“We’ve had real concern that this is going to cause them to be targeted, because it supports this idea of trans children being mentally disturbed or that they can be cured. Parents are very afraid,” she added.

In response to criticism, the BBC 2 has defended the documentary, releasing the following statement:

“With a rise in the number of children being referred to gender clinics, this programme sensitively presents different views from experts and parents on gender dysphoria in children.

For more than 30 years Dr Kenneth Zucker ran Canada’s biggest child gender clinic and was considered a recognised authority on childhood gender dysphoria until he lost his job. He believes he was fired for challenging the gender affirmative approach.

This documentary examines Zucker’s methods, but it also includes significant contributions from his critics and supporters of gender affirmation, including transgender activists in Canada and leading medical experts as well as parents with differing experiences of gender dysphoria and gender reassignment.”

Not quite right.

Gender dysphoria exists BUT the high rates of autistic transitioners is alarming. An UK childrens gender clinic stated that half of the children there are autistic.

There are like 1% autistic people but like 30-50% of transitioners are autistic children/young people.

I'd probably trust that over some guy who got fired for, after thirty years of running a hospital for children going through a specific mental problem, randomly deciding "hey you know that thing that I've been treating for years? Well suddenly it doesn't exist anymore because I can't tell the difference between gender variance and gender dysphoria!"

Kind of makes me wonder how he got the job in the first place...

I like how were taking the word of a disgraced psychologist whose clinic had to apologize for his bullshit, and the American College of Pediatrics, which is a conservative think tank known for opposing LGBT rights. But all those other doctors of course are just being PC and we are totally not latching onto outliers because they justify our bias. No sir.

Chillax fellow loligagger. Nobody on this thread is serious about believing this is definitely true/proves all trans people are faking it

We just like laughing at autistic trannies and the emotional suffering this guy will cause them

I'll wait for peer review before rendering a judgement. I don't want this to be like the vaccines cause autism malarkey that Wakefeld still peddles.

For the love of God, I hope it isn't, because I don't want "nutritional supplement" companies to make money off of selling poison to clueless parents.

I recall reading several years ago that most legitimate mental health officials operate under the idea that an autism diagnosis precludes a diagnosis of gender dysphoria.

Basically what I'm saying this: This is news? Actual transgenderism is ridiculously rare and 99% of "trannies" are just dumb idiot spergs

I want this explanation to be very true, but what about the Androphilic M2Fs, who don't show any signs or symptoms of autism.

You misunderstood: Not every trans person is autistic - but there is an increasing number of transitioners with the tism, especially children. If 1% of people have the tism but 30-50% of child transitioners are autistic then that's a bad sign.

Isn't it also very rare for autogynepheliacs (late transitioners 30-60) not to be white?

Yeah, it would be an error to assume this applies to all Transgender people. There are plenty of Trans people who never get noticed by the Internet because they're pretty much normal in public. They don't meet the common criteria for an autism diagnosis.

But the troons watched by Kiwis almost certainly have the 'tism.

I want this explanation to be very true, but what about the Androphilic M2Fs, who don't show any signs or symptoms of autism. These people may have lots of anxiety for being bullied and crossgender hormones, but these people don't come across as autists like OPL, Phil or that autist who loves horse dildoes and speaks like Ben Stein in videos. I'm glad that there's more evidence to say that most of the people featured here are just failed males, but what about the highly self-aware traps that transitioned in the 1900s that were not being corraled in by SJW BS. I know they may also be failed gay men, but a lot of them also have fixations with gender and beauty, but they don't express it like OPL, who makes horrible and expensive dolls out of himself. I must say, though, I think that autistic people fucking up shit in the world of gender sciences is what happens when you don't discourage people that are obviously crazy and making up shit.
It's a mixture of black and white thinking, inappropriate gender role modeling, and not understanding social situations that probably drive autists to this behavior.

I'm just surprised no one has pointed out how rare this was before the internet starting covering all this crap, which lead to autistic people get carried away.

That would be true if there was no link to gay men getting too much or too little testosterone in utero. If you notice some M2F trannies that like men go onto have great social lives, and even trick some dudes into marriage...while most ratkings can't do that.
I don't see why the existence of autogynephiles and trenders precludes the existence of actual trannies - all it means is that the incidence of actual trannies is lower than it currently appears because autists are fucking up the stats

"hey you know that thing that I've been treating for years? Well suddenly it doesn't exist anymore because I can't tell the difference between gender variance and gender dysphoria!"

Zucker absolutely could tell the difference and did in fact counsel patients through transition. He just didn't counsel EVERY flamboyant child that walked into his practice because he correctly judged that liking pink and hanging out with girls is something your regular ol' gays do too.

First of all, a mental problem? reeeeEEEEEEEEE

Secondly, it's almost like this guy with 30 years experience didn't just wake up one morning deciding to troll troons and came to a difficult decision based on said three decades of experience.

I would not be surprised if most autistic troons decided to switch around puberty because that was the age they started to fixate on the opposite sex. Or more specifically aspects of the opposite sex.

Naturally their autistic brains misinterpreted normal sexual arousal, and translated their fixations on things like clothes and body parts (combined with an inability to get a date), to a strong desire to possess those traits and be the one getting treated special, as they assume the other gender gets treated.

This could even explain the huge difference in the number of MtF and FtM trans people. Female autists don't fixate as much on men because men are stereotypical providers, and don't get as much special treatment. In order for FtM autists to get special treatment they have to turn into some strange 3rd gender trend thing. But, male autists see women getting special treatment and decide that because they like getting special treatment, they must be women.

Well, I don't know many (any?) trans people in real life, so I can't really say either. There are a number of autism-related conditions that are not actually on the spectrum (pragmatic communication disorder, for one), but again, don't know enough to make that call or not.

Either way, this works for almost 99% of every "trans" person followed by KF, and most of them have admitted it. CWC, Phil, Richard Jones, Jordman, and pretty much everyone on the Rat King subforum that don't claim to TG. I don't know about Brianna Wu. It's possible.

Yeah, but just because not every kid had it doesn't justify writing off every trans child as a faker.

It's fitting, because these days being transgendered is what being autistic was in the old days: for every real person who has it there's a grandstanding cunt who diagnoses themselves with it so that they can justify their cuntyness.
