Also, Connie and the Crystal Gems has its own tumblr. I managed to archive it somehow so that website is still salvageable. I'll try to archive as much content it has as I can.

EDIT: I've archived 10 episodes so far. It's so much to read. You can either archive the rest of the episodes yourselves or wait for me to archive the rest of the episodes since I have other things to do.

I've read through some things and here's what I've got far:
  • Steven doesn't exist
  • Connie is the main protagonist
  • Sugalite looks tame compared to the original. She and Pearl had a talk instead of fighting.
  • Rose disappeared but it's unknown why
  • Sour Cream is genderfluid
  • There's more focus on fusions
  • There are new characters like Nadine, whom Connie would share an uwu lesbian relationship with
  • Lapis's costume is yellow instead of blue, because disregard how the colors clash and doesn't go according to how gems would usually look like.

Here's a thought, why not actually take that idea and make a separate all male species of space rocks, maybe name them after metals or something, and have them occasionally feature into the plot. Maybe if they added more variety into the superhero rock bullshit and focused a bit more on having genuinely interesting adventures instead of "lol these aliens don't understand people, Steven is so quirky" stories the show might actually be more popular with actual children instead of 25 year old shut in "children".

So does this supposed "revamp" also try to address legitimate pacing and plot problems Steven Universe does have, or is this entirely a "not enough Pee Oh Sees & lesbian space rock scissoring" sort of deal?

So it's a fanfiction that makes the actual show (that just hasn't been that great as it wants to think it is to begin with.) into something even worse. And that's if it somehow ever got implemented in the final cut, purely by accident. Understood perfectly.

Lapis looks so bad. The gold freckles alone would be okay, but the eyes and dress are godawful.

No one on who spends that much time on Tumblr has what it takes to work on any professional show, let alone their own indie fare when they're too busy bitching about sweet nothings that future generations will eventually mock them for.

Hell, actual professionals would be wise to have learned that by now, too... Which I only wish was the case, given how toxic it is to talk about anything there.

Would I read all of the episodes? Personally, no, as I have better things to do. I am interested in the episode "Jealousy", where Pearl talks to Sugalite instead of fighting against her, though, and I'll make a review of that.

Anyway, here's the premise of the rewrite from the author:

Not to backseat mod but I'm reasonably sure this is like a 16 year old and while it's pretty cringey it's far from really interesting. It's not really cow material it's just a shitty fanfic.
