Suggestion and Update Thread

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
I tried searching but found nothing so here it is:

I noticed that you can paste a link to a Youtube video, it will automatically turn it into an embeded video. I was wondering if it's possible to do something similar with deviantart links? Every deviantart page has an embed link but they don't seem to work.

I don't quite follow.

YouTube embedding is useful because the content is all video based. Meaning you can embed it into a post to play it without changing tabs.

DA does indeed have an embed link for each upload, but it's all images right? If you use the image insert function you should still be able to embed DA images using to direct link like so

It most likely would be possible for an admin to code something for that purpose. But Null pretty much always recommends people upload images to the forum's server using the "Upload a file" function to avoid broken links. So I doubt such a function would ever get implemented.

That's pretty much it. I wasn't sure if hotlinking deviantart was allowed but now that I think about it, it shouldn't make a difference if I use the embed links or not. Oh well, scratch that idea.

Everyone should have to provide a credit card to post in the Chris forum and every post should cost 4 cents and it should be renamed "4 cent garbage" and Null should do credit-card fraud ro anyone he doesn't particularly like and then laugh about it openly.

Whenever >50% of someone's most recent 500 posts have been in Discussion, they should have a large, nonremovable badge applied to their avatar. Maybe other status effects.

Might as well give that badge to people who posted in the Enter forum more than 25 times.

Null should have some kind of banner, like "Site Owner" or something. When I first started lurking I didn't know Null had any position of importance and didn't distinguish him from a rinky-dink nobody.

Do you know how much it costs to charge a credit card? Well me neither but it's over 4¢

I learned what null's position was on day one! Spergatory and supporters forums - The best places to learn about the kiwifarms.

They are where I point most new people wanting to learn more about this place.


As for the Mr Enter subforum. I know I posted there more than 25 times myself.(130 to be exact) I consider that a battle scar tbh. It was the Camden NJ of the kiwifarms.net and the roughest place here. A lot went down in there that people still don't know about. Lets just say that NJA was the lighter side of that forums existence.

Are some people allowed to change their names? I just noticed Cuddlebug changed his username to Dr. Foreskin. Is it a chat thing, like an admin will change a user's name as a joke?
