Suggestion and Update Thread

Null should put some script or something that turns all the .pl/.st/.today/onion links into something useable. So that regardless of what domain we all end up on the site still works. Because as of now due to all the B.S. there are links to nowhere or onion or whatever. It's a mess. The site should automatically turn any kiwifarms.whatever into a link that can always be accessible. I'm retarded with coding but I hope I make sense. All links, old, new etc

If you want to do this for at least your own posts, it's easy. The site supports relative links.

So, for instance, if I use this link to refer to this very post, it will work across all instances.

(Switch off BBCode to see what I did. Essentially just deleting everything before /threads/whatever.)

Makes sense, I just mean for all the posts previous to the platforming and everything.

Could pink triangle users be kept from starting threads? I know some areas are generally shit posting, but some users spread their retardation like herpes, and it borders on spam.

Suggestion: the little lolcow quotations in the right upper corner of the page should contain links that lead to the respective discussion page of the lolcows they're attributed to. As a newfaggot I often see really "interesting" quotes and I'd really like to know who they're attributed to and how come there was a context for something like that to be said in the first place.

I maintain an internal list of sources but intentionally do not share them. I prefer the mystique.

Is there any way to implement an AI or bot to condense news articles in to a tl;dr form as seen on other websites? There are a lot of interesting points of discussion being posted but the journoscum writing these pieces think they have to rewrite war and peace.

Maybe the same could be done to create an ongoing timeline of a cow's various events? Some cows have thousands of replies etc and highlights aren't always for relevant information so wading through it can be quite a barrier to entry.

Given that @Null is doing a full-on house cleaning of the Farms, I will re-raise the proposal to do something about the Rat King subforum. Preferably do some sort of harder delineation of what is in the Rat King and what isn't and should go to the Stinkditch instead. For example ADF's thread feels like something for the Stinkditch.

The last time I tried this people in the board didn't want it and @Ride objected.

After you're done putting the /pol/ rapefugees into camps and exterminating them, can you make news articles unhidden for users that aren't logged in? I really do think that archiving journo whoopsies is still in-line with the original impetus of this site, since nearly all journos are lolcows.

I just like having easy access to article archives and not being forced login to see them.

Can new posts in a thread require mod approval for a few days after a feature? I'm trying to catch up on the No Dong thread and had to skip through literally 20+ pages of repetitive "LOL TRANNY DEAD!!! GRAVITY IS TRANSPHOBIC!!!!" posts. Nearly all featured threads get shit up by retards making low quality posts and requiring approval would help a lot.

Weren't they mostly opposed to the potential of every thread about troons being overrun by TERFs (in part due to the at-the-time proposed name "Gender Critical")? Stinkditch has arguably shown those worries to not really be accurate, I'd say.

For whatever it's worth I like it the way it is too.

Came here looking for solution to this too, I was browsing some old threads recently and lots of .net links (i.e. included in the opening page of lolcow summaries) weren't accessible. I tried changing few to .st but that also didn't work (I'm also retarded when it comes to coding and know jack shit so take it easy on me please in case there is a simple fix I don't know about ).

Some people have had success with manually removing the website and the domain from the URL, making sure to keep the / after the domain. I've done so for your post, and you should be able to access it both on clearnet and Tor.

i don't know what your fucking suggestion was mate but i'll write something as soon as i can spin up another fucking xenforo development environment so that people stop fucking nagging me about this retard shit
