Please rename the "US Politics General 2" thread to the "US Politics General II" thread. Roman numerals just sound better, especially as we eventually replace the thread again and again.
because that problem could literally be solved by having ctrl-v and right-click pasted images default to the thumbnail version instead of the full version, but asking why that cannot be done has to be approached with some delicacy
Images hidden behind spoilers are shown in the "Latest activity" section of a user's account without the spoiler. Example (not on first page but if you scroll down enough you will see it).
Suggestion: add spoilers to the Latest Activity section of user's profiles.
Fuck you @Null for making me look at Black Porn.
Stupid posts are often the funniest posts. And a cluster of them often signals when the cow enters the thread, which is a key thread highlight when it happens.
Really? I've just tried uploading a transparent version of my current avatar and it fills the background of the image with the middle gray (#383c42) to be square. I suppose my real question then is if it is possible to support transparent, irregularly shaped avatars?
My best guess is that so many people do it, it would require banning a massive amount of users. Forget controversy, that would probably result in a significant drop in forum activity.
I'm piggybacking off of what @Austim Sperglersaid but I'd like a way to see the origins of where random.txt's come from. I've only found one which was by accident and it was off-site too.
I know the consensus is to keep the inventory of available reactions minimal, but a reaction sticker I feel would benefit discourse here is some kind of sticker that communicates either/both of the following:
This post is wasting space in the thread (e.g. irrelevant slapfighting between two users about some irrelevant detail in a post)
This post is too long and tedious to bother reading
Currently, there's no way to communicate this without further shitting up the thread, since "nigga stfu" is itself a vacuous space-waster post.
As for what the sticker itself should be, I don't really know to be honest.
