I hate that I can’t stalk users’ profiles anymore. Get rid of their privacy settings so I can snoop, please.
(Sometimes I creep because they’re retarded, but usually it’s because they’re quality posters and I want to see what else they’ve said.)
tsmt
Anyways, thread tax.
One of the most annoying parts of this sites UI in my opinion are the reaction stickers. If you wanna give someone a heart, a rainbow, a trashcan or anything that's not the default updoot you have to:
1) hover over the like button
2) wait for the sticker selection screen to pop up
3) click on the desired sticker
This process is too lengthy and time consooming. Assuming it takes 1 second to give a specific sticker to someone. That is ~20 seconds spent doing nothing but giving stickers to someone. May not seem a lot but if you're dedicated to giving stickers to people it can add up. That's the reason why I only ever press like on everyone. Too much hassle to pick any other emojie. I am a zoomer for fucks sake, and so are many others here. We don't have TIME to do this shit. Most of our apps are dumbed down and usually have a simple double tap like button for this exact reason! And considering that more and more of the userbase will be made up of zoomers I feel like something could be done about this
The system punishes people who go out of their way to be nice and to give non-like stickers to people. Very hostile and inhuman
I propose a simple solution
Let's use this completely random post I found. Notice the 3 stickers next to eachother? They are 3 most common stickers that the post got rated with. Now, what if. There was a copy of these 3 stickers that you could click that was right next to the like button. If a majority of people wanna rate a post with the optimistic rainbow, let's say. Then chances are you're probably wanna do the same too. So to make the process less tedious you can just click on the rainbow directly without having to go through the process of manually selecting it from the sticker selection screen. This also works to prevent negrate spammers because they still have to go through the process (unless the post is already heavily negrated)
