Hasn't been working for me, it just likes a post and doesn't bring an option to change it. Are you on Tor?

No, not on Tor, not sure that's ever really worked.

Still doesn't work for me. It's probably due to Tor or NoScript blocking the element...
Edit: Disabling NoScript didn't change anything. Most likely a Tor issue.

It's annoying but you can evade this ugly bullshit by using the [plain] tag to contain the 8).

I've been thinking that one final element to round out people's troubles with private profiles is that, if you have your profile set to private and you log off/leave the site then your profile privacy should be reverted to everyone or at least members only after a specific amount of time. I'm thinking that the amount of time should be 6 months since that's the amount of time needed to get access to the Inner Circle. If that time is applied for an active user, it's only fair that it should apply to inactive users.

@Null tagging because I think this could end the last main gripe with profile privacy and also because if I create a thread on this then there's gonna be people chimping out of profile privacy.

This is also mainly for oldfags who had their profile set to private and never came back. The most notable example is @CatParty. It's just annoying to try to see profiles of people who haven't been here in years and are unlikely to because they're private and aren't gonna unprivate it because they left.

There should be a "Open threads in new tab" option in preferences. The way I like to use the site on desktop is to open up my favorite 3/4 threads since the last time I was here and have them all open. Yes I know you can middle click on the mouse but I'm using a laptop touchpad most of the time to browse and that would make things easier.

Home grown lolcows like Lunar Eclipse Paradox could never have existed with the current privacy features. I understand turning off comments on profiles to prevent people from dogpiling but having an option for users to hide their entire page is.. ridiculous.

You can look at their post history through the searching feature, but why? This roundabout is just inconvenient. Private profiles not only extremely gay but also fake, please remove this feature.

I agree that they are kinda cringe and homosexual, but they may be a necessary evil. Way better than removing the sticker notifications, thank goodness.

The only issue that needs to be resolved for me personally are profiles that are privated by accounts that haven't been here in years or for a long time. Since these people are likely never coming back, they can't unprivate their profiles which means that profile access is stuck in limbo forever. This mainly applies to a lot of oldfags. The most notable one being @CatParty. If this gets fixed then I'll be alright with private profiles.
