Suggestion and Update Thread

Any chance of adding a "Private" icon to the list of toggles in the Reply menu box, perhaps in the "more options" sub menu?

It would be easier for the users who want to hide something they don't want to be seen by bots or lurkers in a reply without having to type every time:
Code:
[private][/private]

I'm sure you've gotten this request before but there really needs to be a pessimistic/doomer reaction as a counterweight to the optimistic reaction. Have it be represented by either 🚬 or (:_(

(Moving a UX suggestion out from the MATI thread)

It's not wrong. UX people have been running analytics on websites since the 90s, and any minor speedbump wrecks conversion rates, sometimes up to 80%. I know the real problem is there's no 1-click solution for the available site support routes, but tweaking the UX may help a bit.

My suggestion: make the two Account Upgrade options into subtabs at the top of the Support screen, instead of just navbar items on the left. That will make two things more readily clear: (1) that you are currently viewing instructions for a check, and (2) there is a new crypto option.

A bit crowded with the progress bar, which might look better at the bottom of the page. But you get the idea.

If there’s anything that could make white text more readable that would be good. It’s just super low contrast and selecting it doesn’t really improve the contrast. I don’t know, maybe I’m missing something…

The post above mine is an example of it.

There should be a way for us to create banner ads for entire boards/subforums. Like the 4chan style board adverts, I've always thought those were nice. Either let us feature boards or have just let us submit banners for boards into a rotating pool.

I personally think it could encourage use of some of the off-topic boards.

Please for the love of God limit people who can post in featured threads.
You already limit who can posts a thread on the vtubing subforum by post engagment, why suffer the same problem of low-effort tourists shitting things up?
Let people browse at least 10 pages before they get to comment something, I don't know. You don't have to make yourself suffer and call all of us retards. This is seriously overdue and will save you and your staff gazillion marillion hours of time.

I wish i could view all or many of the highlighted posts in a thread on one page, so i could find the post i was looking for without having to keep clicking "previous highlight" and go from post to post, im looking at the Turkey Tom thread, and it takes ages to go from highlight to highlight reloading every time.

Hey Null, have you looked into getting a blockchain domain for the farms? You're big into decentralization, so it sounds like it'd be something right up your alley.

Maybe a timeout for people who have never posted in a thread before. So they get their one free shitpost and then maybe can post again in an hour. There's always some retard with a pink join date who shows up and immediately posts a bunch of utterly worthless shit. Only thread regulars should be allowed to post a bunch of utterly worthless shit.

This suggestion has likely been made before, but something needs to be done about Community Happenings posts not being so large that you have to scroll down to see the whole post. Not everyone is interested in Jake Fartman the generic lolcow as much as you are. If you can’t give me a nice three to five sentence elevator pitch for why I should care then you shouldn’t be the one making the community happenings post.

Shit get a load of this guy he lives in some shit hole village in Africa and can't afford a ScrollTrack 4D mouse with dual mouse wheels to "Cruise the Net faster with 2 wheels". Start a gofundme.

There's an extensive thread on this matter and its better to have discussion about longposting and effortposting on a forum in that thread: https://kiwifarms.st/threads/why-ar...ubmissions-thread.212267/page-7#post-22329174

Wow, thanks, mini-janny! Very cool.

Suggestion Thread
This probably is an extremely retarded idea that would have a significant negative impact on performance, especially in this forum's multi-thousand-page threads. But IMO it's worth suggesting.

Have you considered implementing imageboard-style quote links?
imageboard reply links example.PNG
imageboard reply links HTML.PNG
imageboard reply links example implementation.PNG

The new code would just search for BBCode quote tags in the same thread that reference the target post.

This feature would allow users to follow conversations, not just backward, but also forward. On the other hand, of course, it also would have the undesirable effect of encouraging users to bait for (You)s, since it would give a visible (You) counter underneath each post, just like the existing reactions.

I think the sticker list should revert to its original design, with the 3 most used stickers visible and a couple names next to it. I find the new design to be cluttered, and it’s harder to get a good gauge on what people think of a post. The Null sticker :mutted: should automatically jump to #1 in the queue or be highlighted.

seconding this

Need 5️⃣ and 9️⃣ stickers exclusively for the Bossman thread. What? You can't do it? You tryna make me feel some kind of way, bro? What are you, a fucking RAT?
