Suggestion and Update Thread

You can already do that with the search feature just by choosing search this thread and putting that user into the user field.

I know you can do that but I'm talking about filtering it so it reads like you would read any other thread, just with only the posts for the user. So you can see the posts in chronological order with all the pictures included. I've seen this function on other forums and believe me it's a huge quality of life improvement.

Name changes should be locked behind Kiwi Gold or be entirely disallowed unless they provide you $100 directly or special circumstances apply.

Also boo at how many private profiles there are these days but that's another story. I'd almost prefer to let users delete posts off of their own profile over that in most cases.

When someone sponsors a post, the person who's post is being sponsored should be notified.

Since sponsorships can be as short as a couple hours, and there is currently no way to view a list of sponsored or formerly sponsored posts, it is entirely possible for someone to have a post get sponsored and not know about it if they don't happen to see it for the duration.

🔖 If you register for an account you can bookmark posts for later. Apparently this is the best feature on the site.
This is true. I have 436 pages of bookmarks.

Suggestion: add a "search bookmarks only" flag to the forum search function, next to "search titles only".

Does someone have context for the bookmark thing? I want to read the discussion where that was figured out.

Actually we should do this but also allow jannies to restore deleted posts

New suggestion: users cannot restrict their profile without explicit permission and reason, only limiting profile posting is allowed.

Suggestion: For the Report function, add a "Low Priority Report" option
It already sorta exists. There are three tiers of reports

Emergency report is only for users like me, Flag as CSAM seems to be moderator-only
So Standard report is the standard option
My suggestion is to add another tier below standard, like, less-urgent-than-standard
I don't think we need an incentive to be even slower

If you click the "search titles" checkbox in the search drop-down it should override "this thread" with "everywhere" because right now it requires an annoying 2 extra clicks to search for another thread if you're already in one.

After going through the highlight view for supporters, the "First Unread" button takes me to the next unhighlighted post I haven't read.

Expected: takes me to the page containing the latest viewed highlighted post

I know it's still a WIP, but I just noticed the new video player has direct Chromecast integration and wanted to give a pre-emptive BASED. Arguably the last good thing Google made before they went to complete shit.

Of course, that means they had to kill it; they stopped making standalone Chromecasts 2 years ago. Now you have to buy an underpowered Google TV device and log in so the fuckers can monitor you. You can sometimes log in as Guest, based on firmware version, but not always.

So there may be a privacy concern with that option being there. I assume Google will have access to login name, non-VPN IP, and the specific KF URL that it all goes through. Not sure if whatever you're setting up can limit that or not.

Suggestion:

Quite a while ago, the post editor broke for me. I’m a phone fag, iOS. It’s just greyed out. I know most of the codes so never bothered to mention it but it would be handy to have that fixed. If it’s just me, maybe advice?

Another suggestion. It seems that when somebody posts on your profile the notification is combined with sticker notifications. I don’t look at sticker notices so maybe that can be separated with a different icon on top or something? I’m aware that you can get email notices but no thanks, I get enough crap in my inbox as is. I never just go look at my profile so miss things. Thanks.

Yes, it's just you.
Suggestion: turn off BBCode mode.

Click the 3 dots if the [] is not visible and then click the square brackets to turn on and off BBCode mode.

@Null Just to make sure you’re aware.
CVE-2026-31431
CopyFail
“Most Linux LPEs need a race window or a kernel-specific offset.
Copy Fail is a straight-line logic flaw — it needs neither.
The same 732-byte Python script roots every Linux distribution shipped since 2017.”

ArchLinux CVE page that has links to most regular distro’s, for easy lookup/reference of patched version number.

xint.io has a blog with details.
BugCrowd has a blog exploring AI for finding bugs angle and implications, as well as some sound reasoning on why this exploit was missed even though the crypto part is one of the most heavily scrutinized pieces of code

(In suggestions thread: I suggest you make sure the systems are not vulnerable to this)

I have neutered it until next restart, thanks
