Not (without permission) according to Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), from my understanding.Would it even be legal for the council to provide JY with such info?

That's kinda what I thought. I mean we're technically talking info that shouldn't even be any of Johnny's business to begin withNot (without permission) according to Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), from my understanding.
What's the Hebrew meaning of "Simpson?"• Yaniv, a Hebrew male name: (Hebrew: יָניב), meaning "he will prosper"
No, They didn't tell him that and even if they did, it means nothing. He used the same turn of phrase with his weapons charge. The RCMP told me I needed to have a weapon to protect myself from the hateful bollys. So I don't really follow Yaniv much (except when they end up in the happenings feed), and one thing made me curious. They keep harping on about how RCMP told them to have the cameras and keep them up no matter what.
a)Is that actually true? and if so what sparked it?
b)Does that even mean anything legally? I'm guessing not and the strata are probably well within their righths to to tell Yaniv and the pigs to eat a bag of dicks if they want to.

The council pretty much openly abhors him, so the fact that he thought that they would knowingly assist him is comical at best. Not (without permission) according to Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), from my understanding.
Like any other JYS lolsuit, it's little more than throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks. Anything that does is an added bonus. To put it another way, JYS may or may not know (or care) about the long odds of their suit, but the mere possibility of receiving a monetary settlement or 'Kitty's dox makes it worthwhile in their simple mind even if they ultimately receive nothing in the end.I dont get the point of this lolsuit, like yaniv knows that they wont win right? Like wont it just cost them money. Or is yaniv like unironically so looney that they dont understand reality
This falls back to the idea that this suit is little more than JYS' latest effort to dox 'Kitty. If JYS is truly convinced one of their neighbors is posting about them on the internet, it's up to them to invest the time and resources to figure out who's behind the posts and not ask others to knowingly violate privacy laws. That's kinda what I thought. It's his ongoing anger and frustration of not getting that, demanded, list that amuses me the most. The council pretty much openly abhors him, so the fact that he thought that they would knowingly assist him is comical at best.
Spotting the cat paw signature will be the clincher. He'll find one with the initials WG and harass him or her (especially if it's a woman).
How does he think knowing the residents’ names will help him work out who @WGkitty is?Like any other JYS lolsuit, it's little more than throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks. I had not thought of that. Doesn’t WG stand for Walnut Grove though? He'll find one with the initials WG and harass him or her (especially if it's a woman).
That's what I always thought.I had not thought of that. Doesn’t WG stand for Walnut Grove though?
Just double checked maps with the address from his strata lolsuit - his condo is definitely in Walnut Grove. So he’s fucking kidding himself that WG stands for some resident’s name.I had not thought of that. Doesn’t WG stand for Walnut Grove though?
The part that I love are Kitty / Resident & Donny living in his head rent free.Just double checked maps with the address from his strata lolsuit - his condo is definitely in Walnut Grove. So he’s fucking kidding himself that WG stands for some resident’s name.
This theory does explain his fixation on some guy called “Will” though. His want for resident’s names must be designed to find out “Will”s surname. What an idiot.
It can get kind of confusing. Johnny Tampons lives in one building in Walnut Grove, and Miriam and the aunt live in a seniors-only building directly across from it. From what I understand, they previously all lived under one roof at a different building (Greenside), then used the proceeds from selling it to buy (or at least put down payments on) their current condos.Ah sorry, I thought I read before that he lived with his mom but perhaps that was outdated or maybe his mom was just overly involved.
So if he does actually own his place, you may be right. My strata is much smaller but there is a limit on who is on the committee and it's based on a percentage of the units.
When we got into it, others had to vote us in. So you're totally on to something there. I'm sure they've consistently voted "fuck no" to him
You need at least 1 million to buy an updated stand alone home in most areas of greater Vancouver. Condos can be had for 1/3 of the cost of a house and are still equity. The average income in Vancouver combined with the high cost of living prohibits the majority of people from owning a house. It's actually a nightmare scenario.I never have liked or understood condos or stratas. Really no different than an apartment with an extended lease.
You really don't own shit. As someone said earlier, drywall to drywall & his unit is under 700 sq ft if I'm not mistaken?
Also, if I’m right that the only difference between a condo and an apartment is that you don’t actually own an apartment, just lease it (apologies if incorrect) then a condo might be the only way a normalish person can have security gates, a pool, not have to take care of gardens, etc, while not having to fork out rent in their retirement. You need at least 1 million to buy an updated stand alone home in most areas of greater Vancouver. Almost anything can be strata. There are some freestanding houses that are strata, not freehold (like the famous Hobbit House at 25th and Cambie). If you have one side of a duplex it can be strata. So some are like apartments, and some are not. Any time two or more owners share one property, basically. And Second Hand Syringe is right; The reason people put up with strata is because freehold in the Lower Mainland is absolutely, completely insane. A million and up for a shack. The municipalities are trying to deal with the crazy property prices by approving condo developments so the vast majority of new units on the market are strata units.
