Super Smash Bros.

My dream of an all-inducing sperg rage character is slowly coming to fruition, especially now that no more passes are confirmed. I look forward to the fallout.

It’s going to be a Pokémon. Never expect the last reveals to be anything but underwhelming.

Phoenix Wright would be cool though
 
I remember asking for a fighting game character before Kazuya and then he appeared. Fuck it how about Raiden. His final smash is you doing the slicing motions without dismembering.

That could actually be really cool, but unless the final release is in December it probably won't happen since Metroid Dread comes out in early October and they've never done a character from an unreleased game before. And having the final character in late October or November would probably be considered too soon. Hell, even December would probably be too soon.

For what it's worth though I'm completely satisfied with what Metroid has as rep at this time, so I don't mind that it won't likely happen.

No waifu is ever obscure. They're precious and beautiful and we love them.

Sakurai said it would be "a while" before the announcement though. Is four-ish months long enough to count as "a while" or are we thinking it will be closer to HOLIDAY 2021 for the announce?

All we know is that the last DLC will come out before the end of 2021, and given this direct is strictly discussing late 2021 releases, it's possible that we'll at least get an announcement of a reveal date or at most an actual reveal. And if that doesn't happen, then we might get one at The Game Awards just like Sephiroth's reveal last year.

Either way, we should be expecting something soon given the last character is expected to come later this year.

Agreed. They're going to put in someone other than Dr. Robotnik. But then you'll hear Dr. Robotnik laughing and he'll say something like "You thought they could do Super Smash Bros. without me!?", and we'll get Dr. Robotnik's Revenge mode where he is a playable character after you beat his gauntlet of missions.


I seen't it.
