Super Smash Bros.

The 9/18-Volt spirit battle almost made me snap my fresh new Switch in half. Even with the Assist Killer boost it was a complete crapshoot.
World of Light has the most schizophrenic difficulty I've ever seen in a videogame.
Yeah, it was bad. I finally beat it with Full Armor X, a primary that gives you permanent super armor and one stack of assist killer as Mega Man. Wasn't too hard at that point. I had about as hard a time with Geno, but I used Nightmare Wizard and cheesed it with Kirby's stone. Would have been even easier if I used Dynablade but I didn't enhance that into existance until immediately after Geno.

I cheesed Geno with Sahelanthropus (Metal + Giant, 1 support slot) and spamming Simon's forward Smash. Still took tries but it was the most reliable way to do it.
As a rule of thumb: any fight with multiple opponents that don't go flying in one hit is probably going to be hellish. (i.e. Geno, Pauline, the 3 legendaries from Pokemon B/W, etc.)

If that’s the one that takes place on the stage with 9-Volt’s mom, I just played keep away and let them rack up stage hazard damage.

Pauline was the absolute worst though. Fuck that stage, I only managed to win because Peach screwed up her recovery.

Same here. I reached double digits in attempts for that one battle, only to see Peach jump off a low platform to her death midway through. And I was like, I'll take it.

Also, trying to unlock Ninten from the spirit board is probably not worth the effort, and perhaps I should just grind enough for spirit points or gold and just buy his spirit when it comes up for sale?

I still haven't worked out how to fight off four different Nesses all launching nonstop PSI attacks.

Same here. Tried several rounds of Nikita Missile spamming until Peach suddenly fell to her death. Its like the only way to beat that level is to just play until she kills herself.

The stage is in Battlefield form. Mom doesn't pop out there.

If it's on that like, cloud stage, you can jump round to the platform beneath and they won't all be able to harm you at once. Fox or Ness will help with PSI.

Also start with a Franklin badge and perhaps autoheal.

Looking pretty good.

You know that the new DLC characters will be mostly Fire Emblem sword wielders.

God I hope not. It is my hope that not a single one of these DLC is wasted on a Fire Emblem character. We have enough of them as it is. Hell, i wouldn't even mind if at least one of the characters revealed wields a sword or even more than one, as long as it isn't Fire Emblem.

I just want all the remaining DLC characters to be complete and total surprises like Joker and PP and not what everybody is piggybacking on like Steve and whatever that Dragon Quest character's name is.

I still want Crash Bandicoot as DLC.

I like Fire Emblem, but even I'll be annoyed if it's a sword wielder.

Because that'll just be another excuse to make ANOTHER Marth clone.

If it's an axe wielder however...

I mean, so long as it's not Minecraft Steve I don't even care, they'll be able to make anything work.
