Super Smash Bros.

That I straight up don't buy because people have been touting that shit for the months leading up to Ultimate's release.
They think Steve is going to be in the game is because of some partnership Nintendo and Microsoft is having for Xbox game pass for the switch and some how it means that Steve is going to be in the game. Even then if there is going to be some Microsoft rep for some reason I would have prefer anyone before Steve.

Honestly it was embarrassing how so many people believed some blurry .jpgs were the real deal. That was PokeGods and Pikablu levels of bullshit yet they didn't hesitate to take it as authentic.

People will believe in anything if it means that the characters they want is in the game. Even though with every one or two leaks that happened to be real there are at least 50 leaks that is just a glorified wishlist.

Which was another thing suspicious about the Grinch leak aside from the blurry .jpegs. But I'm distrustful of leaks in general. I thought the Ken and Incineroar leak was fake as well, and that turned out to be the genuine one.

Steve ius at least some

Reminds me of the time I thought the Cloud announcement was photoshop.

I saw that Itsuno wanted to put a Devil May Cry game on Switch at some point. Since they're planning on porting the original, then it would be so badass if they also port 3 somewhere down the line. Maybe even 4 since the Switch could definitely handle that one.

As for whether Dante will appear in Smash, I doubt it. It'd be cool since we can get a Dante vs. Bayonetta, but I'm not holding my breath.

Dante could work well as a fighter if they focus on his style switching as his main mechanic, similar to Pokemon trainer's Pokemon, and Shulk's Monado Arts. Trickster would be air and mobility focused, possibly using some kind of Devil Arms as the main weapons, like the demonic nunchuku; gunslinger would be focused on using Ebony and Ivory, and maybe other firearms, making it exclusively ranged focused (with a few surprises for when enemies get close, like a shotgun blast to the face); Swordsmaster would be focused on using his sword for maximum damage making it hard hitting, but being more limited in ranged options to just Ebony and Ivory; and finally, Royal Guard would be focused on extreme defense and counterattacking at the expense of mobility.

Amidst all this clamoring and rumors for the next DLC character, I'm curious of a few things. Primarily, how they're going to squeeze in four more fighters when the DLC drip will end by the start of next year. The other thing is whether or not there will be a DLC pack 2--this is the best selling Smash game to date by all metrics, and datamining shows that there's capacity to hold 30 more characters (although Smash Wii U had a similar capacity). It's also just the best Smash in general, and somehow Nintendo managed to please everyone, including Melee fanboys (but not the diehard Melee fanboys who are just unappeasable in general).

Since I'm a consumerist lemming, I would be more than happy with a second DLC pack or even a cosmetic DLC pack for characters besides Mii Fighters.

They could easily reveal two new characters at once. Bayonetta and Corrin were both announced and released at the same time when they were revealed as the last DLC for Smash 4. Plus it appears that the trend is that a new character is released every couple of months, so they should be able to cover the speculated Feb 2020 deadline.

And I wouldn't mind another character pack since SSBU already has enough content. I'm just doubtful will get some after the final character. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.

I don't recall the exact source, but iirc Sakurai said something about the next two DLC characters being worked on, so it's quite possible we'll get a double E3 reveal, if not close to each other.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they did a double reveal and drop one the same day. I could especially see this with Microsoft playing friendly. They do a dual announcement of Halo:MCC on Switch, Banjo-Kazooie remake/port, and Master Chief/Banjo character/costumes for purchase later today.

I remember once reading somewhere that a major factor in human evolution, along with our advanced communicative skills, was ridiculously powerful pattern recognition skills compared to other animals. In fact are pattern recognition skills are a little too good, to the point we put together pieces that aren't there to form a "complete picture". It's why we try to find clouds shaped like animals, or why some old woman sees Jesus' face on a potato chip.

This is just that on a more autistic level.
