The roster IS important in a game like this, but then there are those that make rosterfagging their entire existence despite not even really playing the game. Look at PapaGenos and is 30-minute Byleth tirade. And now that Geno's back to being a Mii costume, the dude has absolutely nothing going for him. Despite being a channel completely dedicated to Smash, he hasn't uploaded a single video of him playing it.

The old characters not getting updates is a problem. Obviously you dont want to change the characters too much, imagine taking the shoto tools off Ryu for instance, but Samus and DK in particular really deserve a reimagining.

it's because what would make her interesting is a massive spoiler, yeah we have shit like Seven in shulk's FS but its not like shulk's basic moveset spoils xenoblade 1
also she's not even close to being the MC and Mashed Potato Samurai likes to include the MCs of games before side characters, which rex aside is pyra/mythra
so she's gonna be continuing the melia tradition of being cucked out of her game lol

I thought Rex's guy was a decent actor, except for when he has to yell or scream because I don't think there were any directions for those.

I mean a lot of the voice lines are kind of hit and miss. Nia's english ones can be really charming or annoying depending on how you feel about it. I personally really liked Tora for example except those awful "meh meh" parts. I do feel lie Pyra/Mythra was always a standout one though and seems to be pretty good for smash.
