View attachment 20257 Oh God, I just found something deliciously lulzy.

Apparently in Portland (Hipster Capital of the USA) there is something called The Tardis Room. Apparently it is a rather sad form of pub dedicated to Dr. Who and all sorts of fandoms which has gotten hysterically bad Yelp reviews: http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-tardis-room-portland
Along with this interesting Word Press blog aptly labeling it "Sadder on the Inside."

The pictures and accounts reek of Tumbtards, and the raving and "positive reviews" seem a bit suspicious.

I heard about this.

Those comments are gold.

I think now that the Doctor is middle aged and more of an anti-hero, maybe there will be less insane fans.

For those of you who cruise tumblr more than me, let me know if I'm right or not.

From my experience the only ones that actively show their hatred for this Doctor are the ones that hate anything that isn't Tennant. The rest have begun fantasizing about his 55 year old shlong.

Trading in manic pixie dream boy fantasies for massive daddy issues. It shouldn't be a tough conversion for most of the fandom.
If you ever want to die even more on the inside, go looking for second person fics. Basically they're written as if the reader is a character ("Sherlock tells you to fuck off and stop stalking him"). It's weird enough for romance, but there are so, so many where the reader is a child and the main character takes care of them in an incredibly creepy was.

I never got the idea behind SuperWhoLock. I mean, you like 3 shows, so mashing them together would make a good show? Probably not. Between Sherlock and Doctor Who, I can sort of get it. Same writers, same channel, could be compatible, but only for this a special and not as a permanent show. Perhaps the 2015 special of Sherlock will do this, because it involves time travel, I heard. Anyways, Supernatural is an American show with completely different writers, and I can't see that mixing well at all with two British BBC drama series. The fact whether it's British or American matters a lot, it was the main reason the Doctor Who film from 1996 didn't catch on, it was made by Americans and far too different from the "British" view on Who. I could rant on all day when it comes to the shoddy fanfics and creepy R34 pictures, but for sanity sake I won't go there.

It probably caught on because Supernatural has cute boys, yaoi bait and fantasy creatures. It doesn't even matter if it's completely different, it has components that Superwholock types like.

Dr Who is significantly more idealistic than Sherlock - even when Who is trying to do "dark" (and usually failing pretty hilariously), it's not as dark as Sherlock, which is ultimately very cynical about human beings. The Power of Love is not a significant force in Sherlock. And I think I read somewhere that one of the writers had explicitly ruled it out.

Actually, it's more like 1200 year old shlong. I'm pretty sure that it doesn't work anymore. That's how you piss off who fan girls.

Also, what's Malcolm Tucker doing on this forum?

Ah, the SuperWhoLock people are quite interesting.

I myself like Sherlock, and still cannot understand the appeal Benedict has on the fans. I much prefer Martin Freeman anytime. I think I like the show because I find it its interesting how Sherlock and Watson travel around modern day London and solve grisly crimes. I just like how their personalities mesh together and I see their relationship as a bromance/mentorship like way. It's quite nice.

Not really into Dr. ho. I have plenty of friends that lo e the show, and I have watched a couple with them, but I find it confusing and a bit difficult to get into. But I do like the doctors and some of the side characters. Pretty cool overall.

Supernatural is the one I have not gotten into at all. It seems okay, but I sometimes think the main characters are trying to hard in their acting. I've seen clips where people pair up dean and castiel together, and I don't really see it.

Mmh, I don't think I meet somebody who claims to be a SuperWhoLockian. But I think I have meet people who like all three shows to various degrees.

That's his bollocking face

Yeah, the darkness is lacking at this moment. With the combination of the 12th Doctor and Clara, darkness is nearly impossible.
As for the possibility of WhoLock, Steven Moffat did want to do it, but Mark Gatiss and the rest of the team weren't into it. Still, now that the special contains time travelling, he might have convinced them just for this one special. But, I wouldn't be surprised if it's not actual time travel and it's purely symbolical, or something like that.

When you say that the special contains time travelling, do you have a source? Because it seems to be set in Victorian London, but I think it's more likely that it's an alternative universe episode than straight up sci-fi.

Not sure if it is or not. Just in case it is time travel. Though, again, wouldn't be surprised if it's symbolical and not time travel.

To my undying shame, I spent a couple of months in the Superwholock thing. I found a rather well-done comic that told a pretty interesting and canon-believable story that incorporated all three shows and I thought that was just what it was; A cool name for people who are fans of all three shows. I didn't realize it had become a sentient monster until it was far, far too late.
It wasn't until there became this new sub-level of hell that dragged the poor innocent actors into it, kicking and screaming, that I realized I would be better off just lighting my computer on fire trying to expunge the demon known as Tumblr from it's browser history.
